With this quote, a new thread began. What games are part of your permanent Library, thus you would never sell them back even if you needed to eat.

I know I have sold games and regretted it later, so I had to rebuy them. Now I think like 15 times before I sell anything (even if it's emulated on PC)

    SNES:
    FF3
    Chrono Trigger

    Genesis:
    Aladdin
    Gunstar Heroes
    Phantasy Star 2-4
    Ghouls and Ghosts
    Shinobi 3
    Earthworm Jim
    Flashback
    Sonic 2 and 3

    PS1:
    Chrono Cross
FF 7 and 9 (screw Squall's whiny ass)
    Wild 9
    Strider 2
    Wild Arms
    Vagrant Story
    Star Trek Invasion
    Twisted Metal 1 and 2
    Warhawk
    Doom
    Soul Blade
    Beast Wars Transmetals
    Tomb Raider 2
    Legend of Dragoon
    Xenogears

    PS2
ZOE 1 and 2 (2 being a favorite over many games)
    Beyond Good and Evil
    Baldur's Gate 1 and 2
    Champions of Norrath
    Demonstone
    Final Fantasy 12
    Jak 3
    Sly Cooper 1-3
Ratchet and Clank All of them
    Transformers Armada
    Ico
    Shadow of the Colossus
God of War 1 and 2
    Twisted Metal Black
    Silent Hill 2-4
    Grand Theft Auto San Adreas

    PSP:
    MACH
    Ratchet
Dungeon Siege (Sold it and bought it back)
PATAPON (This game is not going anywhere)
GOW (Just bought it and I know it's a keeper)
    Ace Combat
    Killzone
    Jean D'arc
    Silent Hill
    (If UMD movies count)
    Ghost Busters
    Silent Hill
    Final Fantasy Advent Children
    Chronicles of Narnia
    Starship Troopers
    Metropolis
    Batman Begins

    GBA:
    Shining Force Remake
Every Zelda made for the system, including remakes
    Sega Arcade Collections
    Phantasy Star Collections

For Current Gen it's too early to tell if I would sell these back later

    360:
    Halo 3
    Mass Effect

    PS3:
    Uncharted
    Ratchet
    DMC4
    Folklore
    Lair :O
    Heavenly Sword

I'm sure there are some that I am forgetting

That reminds me that I have a PSX game that I have never sold, by Treasure. I forgot the name of it, but it's about a little witch and it's a platformer. It comes with a demo to Lunar 2 on PSX

I usually don't get rid of games but the ones I will forever hold onto -

The Complete MGS series on console (MGS, 2nd copy of MGS with Bleem for Dreamcast, VR Missions, MGS2, MGS2 Substance, The Document of MGS2, MGS3, MGS3 Subsistence LE, MGS Saga V1, MGS PO and PO+, Twin Snakes)

Complete PS1/2 Tekken series in the case that came with the arcade stick
All Sonic games that I own (nothing after Sonic Heroes so far)
Tomb Raider Legend ( I still play it randomly)
    Battlefield 1942
    Call of Duty series (1, United Offensive, and 2 on PC - 2, 3, 4CE on 360)
Random Mortal Kombat games and their compilations
Random SF games and their compilations
    Halo series
    Futurama on Xbox

I'm sure theres a lot more but thats my off the head list.

The stupidest thing I did was sell my Dreamcast.
I have regretted it ever since. Seriously.

We still have a working Genesis at my mother-in-law's house with Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse. I will track down another Genesis when it is no longer able to play that game.

I still have the first DOA for PS1, DOA 2: Hardcore for PS2, DOA Ultimate and DOA 3 for Xbox, and Soul Caliber 2 for Xbox.

Also, I am holding on to Capcom VS SNK 2 for Xbox on the small chance that it makes it to the backwards compatability list.

I haven't kept any systems or games older than the PS1, and I don't regret it a bit. I'm thinking about getting rid of my modded PS1, I haven't used it in years. Some of the games get new life on my PSP, though.

If it's old, it's out. Too many new things to play to bother with old stuff.

To Own a Dreamcast is to own the Wii, Minus Smash Brothers. The DC is a bloody virtual console, Divx Movie player, Web browser, and of course, a Dreamcast.

Every single game I own right now, with the exception of 4-5 which I can't get rid of due to them being MMO's and EBgames won't take them.

164 games I will never part with. I won't list them, but I can break it down by system. I might not play them all, but I can never ever get rid of them because I consider them to be the best of the best.

    2 Gameboy games
    25 PC games
    22 PS1 games
    48 PS2 games
    12 Gamecube games
    17 Gameboy Advance games
    10 Xbox games
    7 NES games
    13 SNES games
    7 DS games

That collection will no doubt grow when I get a Wii and Xbox360.
