This might be blasphemy, but I prefer the CHUG lines to the OG toys. They are just so much more poseable as robots and fun to play with. The OG line is great for alt mode, metal, great paint and sticker detailing, and rubber tires.

Personally, I would like to see re-issues of the CHUGs I missed.

    On topic though...

I only had two pieces of Bruticus back in the day and it would be cool to have a complete one at some point.

Ideally, a TRU Commemorative reissue boxset of the Dinobots would be awesome.

More realistically, a reissue Devastator, Metroplex, or Omega Supreme under the TRU Commemorative line is more likely (despite Encore).

I would be happy if Hasbro would stop reissuing G1’s that have already been reissued in the past and move on to Headmasters, Targetmasters, Powermasters and other G1’s that have yet to be reissued, such as Sunstreaker, Wheeljack, etc.

Also, if Hasbro ever reissued an Overlord... Technically it would be Overlord's first American release since it was only available in Japan and Europe... I would be all over it!

    What?

Dunno what you class dwindling but anyone under 40 hardly constitutes that.

I liked the BBTS reissue of the Seacons--too bad it doesn't seem to have sold all that well, because I would love to see other combiner teams released the same way.

A Dinobot boxset would also be amazing!

I'd say Devastator is the most likely. They need something that would have wider appeal than the current base of TF collectors, out to the wider nerdculture population. They could early release it at SDCC next year and put it out at TRU after the convention, like MP Rodimus. Hell, that might be the exact plan: Takara release, SDCC exclusive, then wide b&m retail is exactly what they did with MP Rodimus.

Predaking's possible too but he's much less well-known, despite being the better set of toys. Either one would outsell the hell out of the Seacons.

Like others have mentioned: wheeljack, sunstreaker, other combiners, headmasters, targetmasters...pretty much anything that hasn't seen a US release.

That's something I've been wondering about for SDCC next year regarding the next Transformer exclusives, since they've already done two reissues recently (Soundwave in '09, Blaster in '10), it would be a gift set like both previous reissues, is a familiar character to people other than hardcore Transformer fans, and has some novelty to it (combiner, not released in the US since G2, Takara release only the previous year). Prime will only just start it's toy line this December, movie line toys can be complicated due to licensing issues, and I don't know if they'd use Classics (nothing since Nemesis Prime in what, '08?), so I'm not sure what other options will be available to them.

As for what Hasbro "should" reissue...a lot of the things I'd like to see are things I'm not sure would sell well or might cost too much to make a decent profit on (like restoring lost or damaged molds). A Devastator SDCC exclusive would make sense and might actually make me regret picking up the Encore versions if the stateside release is fairly cheaper. Beyond that, anything Hasbro does in the reissue department is something I'll take as a nice bonus, since I don't expect much from them. I look to Takara for real progress on reissues.

    Fortress Maximus and Sixshot please

You can find pretty good KO of Defensor, Menasor, and Devastator at KOToys

I too wish they would reissue some toys it makes no sense for them to reissue.

I'm a big fan of collectible boxsets, so while NONE of these are plausible (at least for Hasbro), I'd still love to see multi-packs like:

    Dinobot boxset
    Predacon boxset
    Metroplex vs Trypticon pack
    Prime vs Megatron pack
    Original Seekers pack
    Conehead Seekers pack
    Season 1 minibot pack
    Season 2 minibot pack
    Soundwave + cassettes boxset
    etc.

Stuff like that since I'm sort of tired of the same old reissues.
