So, I have a bonus check coming next month that should be about $150, and I'm trying to decide between three options. Feel free to share opinions. The three options are...
    TFCC Seacons- membership price.
    Encore Omega Supreme
    Encore Metroplex.

    Thoughts?

If you don't have a Metroplex then go for his Encore reissue.

My first pick would be Omega Supreme. The electronics is cool to play with. My 2nd pick would be Seacons. The set looks cool. Last would be Metroplex. I like Metroplex but not as much as the others. He’s too much of a brick.

I'd definitely get Metroplex if you don't have him or never had him. He's iconic.

The TFCC Seacons are kinda gross colored, IMHO, and way overpriced -- I'd prefer a loose G1 set from Ebay, or a shiny God Neptune set, either of which can be had for way less than these fugly eyesore recolors.

Omega Supreme always struck me as kind of a gimmicky, less-playable figure. Fine to just display, but not really much fun to mess with...it's unarticulated, just a mass of partsforming pieces.

Seacons. They're limited, so if you don't like them, they're easily sold on. Possibly at a profit.

The Encore stuff will be around at original price, or less for a long time to come.

if you like the color of the seacons , then I say go for them because they will likely keep their value or increse. + they are awesome molds. IMO

The other two can be hade easy and waiting a bit you can probably get both for 150. They are however more ionic then Seacons.

There's no trick -- Just have to be patient and watch/search carefully.
I got my God Neptune set, MIB, for 107$. Which isn't a super deal, since that set doesn't come with any sort of Nautilator nor any of the guns and stands, but what it lacks in accessories it makes up for with a much more pleasant color scheme.

I got mine for, like $20. I didn't even sell it for half its current market price and still make a tidy profit, but this was also five or six years ago.

Anyway, sure, bargains can be had, but it doesn't make the Club Seacons "way overpriced". What this might mean, however, is that demand for the G1 set will go down and take its price with it. That will take time to see, and either way, doesn't entirely address Omegatron's request. He must not think they're hideous if he's actually considering them, and he may have Piranacon or God Neptune or both already.

I'd say Seacons, if you don't have piranacon already.

    1. You can get an original omega supreme piece-meal. Start with the tank, make sure electronics still work. Maybe get back pack if you want.

    2. Metroplex is the last resort...unless you really love the character. He's relatively so easy to find, especially on ebay.

Economically you should get the hardest to find that you can afford right now. Metroplex is easy to find...Omega can be found piece by piece if you want to do it that way.

Of course, this assumes you're indifferent between the three in terms of which character you want the most. If you are, you should really be picking the Seacon set....the others are easy to get down the road.

I'd go this route. Best bang for your buck and should be easy to unload if you change your mind. The other two will likely be around for a while, and really should not be a rush purchase.

I'd pass on all of the above. Get UM and his Armor if your not already getting it. Or maybe TC/SW Henkeis. But if had to be those, I'd save a few more bucks up and get City Guardian. A little more unique, and Ehobby items tend to be better investments than encores.

Maybe outside the box... perhaps an Alternators Swerve MISB...but where could you possibly get one?

Anyways... the Seacons are lookin good. I'm not even saying that because I'm on the club mag staff.
