Personally I will choose JP edition, because of its settings and designs are much closer to the movie (eg. Brown lens of Jazz)

US edition is also cool, but not real enough as I thought.

    How about your guys' idea?

I think the Hasbro version looks better. The blue makes him pop.

i assume we are talking about HA Jazz?

i have both. hasbro edition wins this round for me. the blue windscreen maybe unrealistic but it goes well with the silver and the blue visor is iconic jazz.

though takara version looks sleeker in alt mode with clear windows and added paint

I like the Japanese better except for the visor. But the visor is a big deal.

Assuming HA Jazz, definitely the Hasbro version.

I LOVE the way Takara's visor shines, and the silver on the bottom of the visor.

I was initially worried I got the wring version because of the visor- but it's ended up being one of my favorite things about the toy.

And here I was hoping we were talking about Generations/Whatever "Henkei"s new line was Jazz.

I was about to scramble over to the News Section.

They both have parts I prefer over the other one, so overall, I can't really pick a winner. I'm happy to have Hasbro or Takara.

since I can only afford the hasbro version, the hasbro version wins.

I don't like paying double/tripple prices for the takara version with slightly different colors.

if i'm going to be paying double price then I want takara's version ton look radically different. examples: micron legend/armada ultra sized 2003 Shockwave/tidalwave. superlink ultra sized galvatron. galaxyforce voyager sized G-1 colored Starscream. Henkei nerf gun G-1 colored voyager megatron.

the only way i'd buy the Takara HA Jazz. is if they did a G-1 inspired white with added racing decals styled jazz recolors. sort of similar looking to the hasbro 2007 target store exlusive G-1 inspired deluxe jazz in clasic 1984 white with racing decals on the toy.

I've seen quite a few people say the japanese version is more movie accurate because of the brown visor, but it's not true.

His visor is blue in the first movie.

There's a few more in TFW's movie screencaps that show it too.

So the Hasbro one is more accurate visor-wise.

I prefer the Hasbro one overall, because the blue really does help break up his color scheme and makes him more attractive.

Nice observation, Thundercrackah, it seems his visor is very blue after all.
