I don't have blu-ray capabilities so regular DVD release is all I can get.

Basically, I don't want to have to settle with a "here's the movie and nothing else" release, I want there to at LEAST be commentary of some kind.

Care to specify where I can find such a release? It'd be nice if there was a guide for it like with ROTF. :(

The DVD's for DOTM have nothing but the movie. Only the 3D Blu-Ray has extra stuff.

    Yes, all mine.

If there are collectors of Toys (which I also do).. why not the niche of collecting all the Media Releases :)

Getting the 7 disc box set is very expensive since there's only 5000 copies

Wow!!!!!nice....I got the all 3 movies on B-Ray and on reg DVD...I got Revenge of the Fallen the original version on B-ray and the IMAX version from Wal-mart, and I got the bare bones Dark of the Moon release and last week bought the DOTM 3D Edition w the reg. B-Ray/and B-Ray bonus features to complete all the trilogy w the bonus disc w features....but as we know....sadly no commentary on the film like TF and TF2.
I also have the G1 Matrix of Leadership 25th Anniversary Edition and have bought the single seasons solo mainly for the box art and I got the slipcase cover for the 15 disc release. Wish they fit w the boxes for Season 1-4. I also have the G1 movie. The movie is awesome....the 20th anniversary Edition is great...wish they woulda came out w a 25th anniversary movie version before the yr. ended...but its cool....I know its on B-ray the Metrodome version and plays on region 1 players....you got the cool Dark of the Moon edition w Sentinel, I was gonna get it, but I just didn't like how he sold out and betrayed his former Student Optimus and murdering Ironhide, Optimus' best friend...but he gets it in the end....but he is kinda a tragic villian....but Optimus is the real Prime....again great collection....I'm waiting to see If I get the Micheal
Bay signed Trilogy box set....I love fellow TF fans like myself....I'm gonna be at Bot-Con 2012 in Dallas which is closer to me than last yr's in Pasadena....
    Til all are one....

That's not entirely true though, is it?

I was under the impression there were several commentaries available to be turned on and off during the previz footage and stuff like that...right?

    Well, yeah...I figured.

But it wasn't clear and the OP was talking about the BONUS content.

Plus, I don't have any form of Blu-Ray player yet so I was concerned the few commentaries they'd announced for the 3D-BD might have been dropped, so I just wanted to check.

Glad to hear they're still there, thanks!

    :)
