Just wanted to see the Opinions on this. Put all cost aside just the thought on how these two look. Disregarding the sharpness of the Images. Just focus on the Arm and leg add ons for both versions.

I'm confused.... what am I supposed to give my opinion on?

Edit: Now that the poll is, but, I would honestly have to say how they look originally. The kit doesn't look too bad, but the parts just don't mesh well enough, and the arms look kinda small, imo. I'd rather have the odd looking arms and legs, tbch.

FP, but I'm not going to spend any money on it. it's not exactly "must-have"

That's like saying "Who's hotter: Jessica Alba or Susan Boyle?"

    ....is that offensive?

Both look good, IMO, but I went with the originals because I like the weapon hands look, like the combined mode is ONLY for combat, and thus more of weapon than just five robots. I like that idea.

Are either of these (i.e., Superion or Bruticus) even out yet?

I'd vote fans project if it cost less than half of the the whole gestalt (one deluxe and four basics at Energon price points 9.99 + 4 * 6.99).

Due to the fact that it costs (44.99) more than the whole combiner it is honestly a scam no matter how limited or whatever features it has. At less than half the plastic content of City commander it shouldn't even cost half as much as city commander as well.

I know you said put the money aside but its just ridiculous at that price. So on your terms Fans project looks better as the Energon limbs arent really limbs at all and the Fans Project makes him much closer to G1 Superion.

Also of note, of course, is the fact that the ROTF re-release has a nicer color scheme, so that might be leaning some people. And of course the image is chock full of photo-shop goodness whereas the poor Energon version has terrible lighting and absolutely no pose given to him.

Money aside, I'd go for the FP / ROTF version. Money considered, FP can go (blank) themselves. (Insert angry verb of your choice.) I can appreciate the artistry of what the garage companies are doing, but I haven't seen a price tag yet that I would pay - limited or not. When accessories and add-ons are more than the core toy it's just epic failure on a epic scale.

The question is wether you prefer FP's hands and feet for ROTF Superion, or the Energon candy hands/feet it comes with. Not comparing the ROTF version with the Energon/Superlink version.

For me there's no comparison.. The original looks quite goofy. The Fansproject add ons look SOOOOO much better. And it really isn't a bad price considering the limited run, and the fact that the Clifjumper set was somewhere around $30 for a lot less than what you get in this set.

And he is right about it, too. That's one of the least flattering Superion Maximus pictures out there (lol official photography), plus there are alternate transformation options that improve the look in general.

I gave my vote to post-add-on Superion, but that doesn't mean I'll definitely buy the kit either.

The pink A-10 on FP's right leg looks stupid.

fp looks pretty cool. so does the original. my post is pretty much useless. Still waiting for either Bruticus or Superion to come around.

FP version is better. I wish we had some high res images of these. I am so happy that the pieces have useful alt mode jobs. I will buy it if I can get from an etailer but I won't go the extra cost to get it from eBay.

If I get this set I will glue one of my Superions together for display because that gestalt is not stable at all. Perhaps even pick up a rotf version if it is still around.
