First Edtion easly.
First Edition. RiD Prime looks like absolute trash without DIY work. With some more paint apps and no clear forearms, he's passable.
This should be in the "Transformers Toy Discusion" forum.
First Edition of course, i have no problem buying the RID one, since FE's hard to find in my country, but of course, FE's still the best
Don't have access to the Cyberverse one yet, but I'm gonna go ahead and say First Edition.
I'm going to sin and say RID Optimus slightly. He seems to look good with Red Sharpie, his head sculpt rocks, he's in scale with Megatron and doesn't cheat. But the main advantage is scale. His gun is fucking garbage though.
I have to agree with this. As much as it's always a problem, scale issues usually bother me much more than color issues. I'm a Megatron fan, so the primary purpose of any Optimus in my collection is to give him an adversary. Powerizer Prime is already a little too big compared to Megatron, so I have no interest in FE Prime despite the better colors and accessories.
but...this is feedback.
First Edition all the way, but I'm interested how the Weaponizer (or Leader class) Optimus will turn out.
I'm torn because I agree with the scale issue. While FE Optimus looks good, I prefer my collection especially those within a single series to be similar. Besides the regular Optimus looks decent.
Cyberverse Optimus is pretty impressive for his scale also. The best thing that came out of the Movie toys for the DOTM has got to that line. I'm hoping Hasbro can give us a Cyberverse G1 series. They could give us the Ark, Metroplex etc play sets and I will buy them all.
While I understand what you mean, this section is generally used for toy reviews and feedback on a single toy, while threads like this that apply to a broader spectrum are usually in the Toy Discussion section.
Oh, and I picked Cyberverse Prime. RiD (besides the clear forearms) and FE both look nice as well.
First Edition I consider to not only be one of the best Optimus Prime toys ever designed, but one of the best Voyager Class toys ever designed. The Cyberverse is cool for its size, but has funny legs that don't appeal to me. Not played with the RiD, but the lack of paint on the body turns me off, and it is a hard act to follow the FE.
With the RiD version, I felt Hasbro took what could've been a great toy and ruined it. His transformation is more complex because the FE has the same engineering as the deluxe. It has fake chest windows. If Hasbro could make the paint jobs more show accurate and engineer it to look more show accurate, then it would've been a great Prime Optimus toy.
Honestly, I think the RID toy mainly fails in the arms/shoulders & backpack, at least visually. I really like the alt mode & the chest windows (especially given they're not faked), but it just doesn't claim the presence earned by the FE Voyager that I agree completely with Sol Fury on. If nothing else, I'd argue that it's better than Bulkhead, and I'm actually really glad that a deal I had with someone ended up falling through so I'd be able to keep one.
True, RID Optimus Prime's windows aren't faked but FE Optimus Prime's vehicle windows looked better.
Followed by Cyberverse Commander, Entertainment 2-Pack Deluxe, and lastly, RiD.
