Which director should direct and Write TF3
Director: Michael Mann
Writer: Simon Furman
You do know that the director=/=the writer, right?
That said, I say Michael Bay as the director.
And Kurtzman and Orci should write it.
Keep Bay as the director. I think the hate is garnered more from the scripting than the vision. The two writer are good and are very talented, but I don't know what in the hell happened this go round
Ya, keep Bay. Give him a really profound script and he will Bay it down and it will work. Who wrote The Dark Knight? Get that guy/lady to write Transformers 3. I am so done with Orci and Kurtzman. Michael Bay gave us the robots we wanted, but those two (and the other writer whose name I am always forgetting) gave us the script that made us go WTF!? Ya know? Or at least pair Orci and Kurtzman up with The Dark Knight guy/lady. That would work.
Chris Nolan (who directed Dark Knight) wrote it with his brother who in turn was called in by Bale later in the day to re-write some of the Terminator Salvation script....
T:S was a terrible script. It wans't Nolan's fault - he had to re-write a lot of John COnnor scenes that weren't supposed to be in there at all because Bale had been approahced to play Marcus (that's why Sam Worthington's role ended up so big).
The script: Simon Furman
Director: Ridley Scott or Peter Jackson
Just to get things weird:
written and directed by the Wachowski brothers
- Must have experience with shooting large scale action scenes
- Close link to military (unless Bay serves as producer)
- Disciplined with budget
- Good storytelling skills
you mean the wachowski siblings.
Those guys are visionaries - but there's no point in TF, because they'll just experiment with some weird visual effects, like they did in Speed Racer.
Keep Michael Bay and the writers for TF3.
George Lucas. Just so people can see how bad the movies can REALLY be.
And serious LOL at the Simon Furman suggestions. I love the comics as much as the next guy, but I'm sorry. The man can't write decent dialog to save his life.
I'd actually be curious to see the result of swapping Michael Bay's and Steven Spielberg's roles around for TFs3; have Mr. Spielberg as the director overseeing the whole movie in general and Bay as the executive producer handling the planning of action sequences. Keep Orci and Kutzman (& Kruger?) as writers, but give them more time to flesh out a better script.
-no, we have lots of humans already.
I don't mind Michael Bay, he simply shouldn't be left alone. We need Spielberg back as producer so he can tell Bay when it's enough and keep the American Pie humor to a minimum. As for writers, I have no idea. Who wrote the first Movie?
Peter Jackson and Simon Furman.
Separate names with a comma.
