As the title states, which DC character should get a movie next? Take note, I
didn't include Batman and Superman because they already have movies in production. However, I included Green Lantern because no one is sure about whether a sequel will be made or if it will be rebooted. The choices include...
    The Flash
    Wonder Woman
    Green Arrow
    Dr. Fate
    Martian Manhunter
    Green Lantern sequel/reboot
Batman spin off (ex. Nightwing, Batgirl, Catwoman)
    Hawkgirl
    Superboy/Supergirl
    Other

Sorry about the double post. I accidentally hit the back button and it erased it all, but when I hit the forward button, it got rid of the poll temporarily.

I put down other for Booster Gold, I think a pretty solid movie could be made with him.

None. From history, besides Batman under Nolan, DC movies are terrible. They should stick to animation.

Reboot the GL franchise as a series of feature-length theatrical animated films, not these 70-minute DTV things, and start with Sinestro Corps War.

If we're just talking live-action, there needs to be a major shake-up in the handling of movies based on DC properties before they go ahead with anything beyond the stuff that's already too far along in production. It's not going to matter what character they choose to film if the development process is just going to keep churning out bad-to-mediocre movies.

I would personally vote for Shazam, I think the concept has amazing potential under the right creative team. It could really appeal to kids - what more could you ask for? You can be a superhero with a magic word! Since he wasn't available, my vote goes to the Flash. Super speed is something everyone has probably wished for at one point or another, and would be a really nice sci fi action movie if done right.

I wanted to vote Wonder Woman, but considering the Greek myth adaptation is pretty popular and common in cinemas now, the Flash gets my vote. I'd love to see how they play off the Flash against the modern superhero. Plus, his powers and rogues gallery has amazing potential.

My vote goes to Wonder Woman, for obvious reasons.

You mean Captain Marvel right :p

However I agree, Captain Marvel would be a great superhero movie. Its a kid with magic powers that make him like Superman. This idea shouldn't need selling, it sells itself :D

They all have the potential to be good movies, but I have little faith in DC getting it right. The exception currently being Batman. DC really needs to go the route Marvel did and retain more creative control over the product.

With that said, I'd like to see another GL movie following the Sinestro Corps storyline or Wonder Woman.

Agreed. DC needs to stop managing their movies like comic books and start something like Marvel Studios, and do their films that way.

Anyways, I wouldn't mind seeing either a Flash movie or a Wonder Woman movie written and directed by Joss Whedon.

I'd love to see a Flash movie and a Wonder Woman movie because they both have the potential to be great movies. I'm surprised that no one has voted for Green Arrow yet. He's essentially Batman, Iron Man, and Hawkeye all rolled into one character.

Yes sorry that should have been Captain Marvel :)  I used Shazam because I was referring to the property :p  but yes DC's habit of using Shazam now instead of Captain Marvel as his name (one of its sillier revisions) due to legalities also makes it work :p

    Flash.
Hate most of the others. With the exception of Wonder Woman/Powergirl. And only them on account of the hawtness those characters could bring to the silver screen.

I think the Flash is probably DC's legitimate last shot at opening up their superhero universe beyond Batman and Superman to film - to be what Iron Man was to Marvel. Wonder Woman has consistently failed to get any other media off the ground for years, Green Lantern is their most prominent and popular B-lister after the Trinity and his film sucked rancid donkey cock, and Flash ranks in second under him in the "recognizable highly-rated characters" department, so the way I see it, it's a Flash film or go home. A Hawkman film isn't going to open Joe Public's eyes to the movie potential of the DCU. Aquaman ain't. Martian Manhunter? Nope.

What I would actually LIKE more than Flash is Captain Marvel, but that's a very difficult one to play right - weren't they making one a while back, but it crashed and burned when the studio wanted it to be "dark" after the success of the Dark Knight? It really needs a light, deliberately hokey touch to properly capture the charm of the Big Red Cheese - and again, that sort of approach is not going to truly fly and break down the barrier to get more DC movies made. It's the sort of film that'll come later once that barrier is down and the universe is open, like Thor was.
