i am getting back w/collecting but for $ reasons and looking at either the classics line or the titanium line. eventually will do the movie figures and possibly the animated series someday. but for now i like the classics of the titanium line. i can find the deluxe classics at around 10 bucks and the titanium at around 15. just cant decide which way to go (since i like the old animated figures and the classics and titanium have these figures). so, w/out any further babbling, which do you prefer from these two? or opinion on either line? thanks!

Without having any of the later Titaniums, I'd have to say classics... Some Walmarts are getting these and marking them down, so keep an eye out for them.

most of titanium is garbage. go with classics, but be be warned - thundercracker, dirge, and thrust were botcon convention exclusives, and will cost you a whole lot of money if you go after them.

Classic all the way if you plan on getting most of the series.

There are some nice titaniums out there you should get your hands on though, like Ultra Magnus, Rodimus, Fallen and Cheetor.

Classics hands down for all the reasons mentioned. Titaniums are very, very "meh". And canceled... so it's an easy choice.

Classics. End of story. And will be getting new figures next autumn, like Sideswipe and Sunstreaker in Classics 2.0 aka new Universe line.

Classics. Every toy is fantastic, while only a handful of Titaniums are worth looking twice at.

just like what the others have said, go for the classics as the starting point of your collection.

Classics are by far the best toys for play value and homage to their G1 counterparts.

I really like Titaniums, but they are different beasts. Not great toys, but good models. They feel nice because of their weight and I like the strong ties to the comics.

Still I think Classics would be more enjoyable to get back into things.
