    Hey Guys,

I was just thinking which Classics Hot Rod looks better, the 1.0 version or the 2pack of him and Cyclonus (tho you could also add the 3pack with Galvy, but I think the 2pack and 3pack look the same).I think judging by pics of the new hot rod that he looks better, more toon accurate with the light blue painted windows, and brighter yellow/orange spoiler. So when this comes out this month I am so getting them to replace my 1.0 hot rod,as for cyclonus I will be either kitbashing him or trading him for something else,as he looks too eh!.Let me know which one yall like better.Later guys.

Between the two you mention, I prefer the first release. But I like the Henkei better than either.

While I'm not always a fan of the clear windows, it makes sense with this mold, since there's no robot kibble in there and there are visible bucket seats. It's a nice touch!

I don't find one necessarily better than the other, they both have their pros and cons. While the 2-pack version has brighter red plastic, the subtle flame deco on the chest and all that. The Classics version has the clear windshield, and generally more paint apps over the figure seemingly.

Ultimately though, I agree completely with this:

Honestly all 3 have their negatives & positives like as follows below:

    (1) I prefer the golden metalized chrome car trunk wing from the henkei version.

    (2) the white/pearl face on the newer 3 pack/2 pack looks better to me because it's more of a homage to the 1986 hotrod toy.

    (3) I actually prefer the 1.0 classics rodimus chest/hood flame decals. because they look more natural & evoke a more fire flame. I'm not a fan of the henkei chest/hood flames because they cut off into a block square confined pattern. thus making the fire flames look more un-realistic.

I suspose the ultimate thing to do is to part swaps all the positives from those 3 versions into one singular superior figure.

I think the two pack version looks better. The first one looks pretty dull.

I've never really liked the mold though. It's boring, and the robot mode (especially the head) isn't that great.

I'd like another one that has a face that actually looks like the character. Classics Rodimus' face looks like it was based on the G2 comic.

I like the Classics Version better. It also matches the FP Protector set better IMO.

I really regret not buying the Henkei version myself. Sorry, but I don't have the newest version to compare. Classics by default :lol

Pretty sure the 2-pack and 3-pack are identical.

I'd say either the original (even better with the Repro label sticker set) or Henkei. The new deco feels washed out with the pale yellows.

I'll use classics for the protector armor, and get the new deco for a standalone figure

Unfortunatly, I've only got the 3-pack, so I cant really tell which one I prefer in person, but through pictures I would go for Classics Rodimus only because it fits with TFX04-Protector a little better.

I think I may just prefer the Challenge at Cybertron/2-Pack version to the Henkei one, but it's a VERY close run thing. I don't have the classics to compare although I would really like one (hint hint ;) )

I'm getting the two pack on sight, then selling off my Classics Roddy. I think I'll keep Cyclonus around and make the Universe one "and his armada". Blurr's getting that Targetmaster, though.
