I got all 3 (Classics, Henkei and Legacy of BB), so:
Classics: my current favorite, the white deco seems to bother some people however.
Henkei: more simplistic and G1 accurate, also slightly more orangy (just a wee bit more orangy) than classics.
Legacy of BB: almost feels like a high quality KO, has sticky paint issues, alt mode has noticeable gaps on mine.

 

Awesome. I think it's gonna be the henkei   i love the henkei figures; nearly all my figures are henkei and united is turning out to be just as good.

Thanks so much for everyones opinions; i'm gonna get me a henkei. Although the rts is tempting me i think it's another takaratomy for my collection!

Opinions on which is the best 'bee are still highly valued  

 

CHUG is classics, Henkei, United, Generations. it basically encompases all 'classics' style figures.

Nah, people know what it is. Getting the idea across is more important than the letters having to stay updated. It's just that some people insist that "nobody says it anymore" when clearly people do. Just leave people alone that want to say it instead of having a vendetta against an acronym that no one is forcing anyone to use. You know what it means. Vent in your own privacy instead of correcting people that want to use it. Heck, I'm going to start using it again... Can't we just this side topic drop?

ANYWAY, back to the topic, the United Bumblebee might be the best choice if you want G1 accurate with symbols and if the shiny paint is up your alley.

 

What is Legacy of BB?Iis it the new legends one, can someone post a pic please?

 

For me I use the term CHUG-ARTS( classics, henkei, universe, generations, animated, and reveal the shield), anyways I prefer the RTS one, it's updated and you don't need to rob a gem mine for it. :smile:

 

legacy bb is the best; then the new rubsymbol one; followed by the war for cybertron bee, followed by the bb bee,

and united bee, is totally goldbug.  

 

Henkei. I buy these toys because they're the G1 characters. So G1 decoes FTW.

 

1) Classics BB : Has white on the car mode which some might not like and no Autobot logo on the chest.

2) Legacy Bumblebee : has Movie or animated like black stripes (which I personally like) but he does have slightly sticky paint nice to display but not one I'd recommend using as you main play piece as that paint could get ruined by excessive handling.

3) Henkei Bumblebee : Lacks the white of the Classics version has a proper chest logo and Is the one I probably prefer at the moment. he's probably the closest match top the Legends Bumblebee too. his seats are painted too which looks nice.

4) United Bumblebee : Has a shiny gold paint job - which is fine if the paint is of durable quality he 'almost' matches the gold Bumblebee legends toy, Goldbug, or the G2 Bumblebees too. has no rubsign which I also consider good. possibly one to consider if you like shiny paint.

5) 2011 Hasbro Bumblebee - similar to the Legacy Bumblebee only with different stripes if you like the stripes he's a good option for those who live in a place where he's widely available.

6) (KO) Blue one - I've been trying to find one of these more recently with no success if anyone has one for sale let me know please.

In short the New Hasbro one is not a bad option but they are all quite similar looking ; at the moment I like the Henkei one best though.

 

The RTS one looks tight.

 

He seems a good buy if you can live with the rubsign and the stripes :
