    Hi everyone,

My wife, as many do, has a strong affinity for Movieverse Bumblebee (BumbleBay? Baymblebee? What's the right term here?). I don't have one in my collection but realize that there are many, many options ranging from the RPM crap to the Human Alliance version.

My question: what's the best one to buy? Mind you, my wife is extremely unlikely to ever actually transform him, so it doesn't need to be particularly newbie friendly. However, I'd prefer a good likeness that will make her happy to see on the shelf (and that I'll enjoy messing with in my fidgety hands).

    Any suggestions?

There is a Leader class Bumblebee from the movieverse. Not sure if it's out yet though.

In my opinion, the best one for your money is the Human Alliance Bumblebee. He's $29.99 at Wal*Mart and Target and is a very accurate represenation of the on screen model. It also comes with a Sam figure.

There is no Leader BB coming, it's called Battle OPs Bumblebee but it cost more then a leader, I think it's running $60. It's accurate but pretty big. Human Alliance's car mode is roughly 1/24 scale.

Human Alliance Bumblebee's the way to go. Great Alternator feel and the plastic feels full of quality. It's a marvel of engineering indeed.

Battle Ops bumblebee is severely oversized, whether you care for scale or not. It's also expensive, and is clunky and not stable enough. Of course, if you want a deluxe version, I'd go with the 07 or 09 version (TFTM, ROTF Preview). The others aren't as solid as the earlier molds, IMO. But if you like the look of Battle Blades Bumblebee that's coming out, you might want to hold out for it.

Overall, HA Bumblebee is the best out of quality, price and overall accuracy and fun.

Thanks you guys. One question about HA Bumblebee: on the box he's depicted as having a gun for an arm. Is this a design thing? Or does he have a two hands but the ability to switch one out for a gun?

Sadly one arm is a gun arm. One of my few issues with him. However, it isn't badly done.

It's a design thing. HA Bumblebee only has the one hand while the other one is his gun.

But definitely, I recommend getting HA Bumblebee.

Get battle blade Bumblebee? The new one coming out that has the blue axe and cannon arm that both appear to switch to normal hands. It's the one I'm going to keep. The other three deluxe bee's I have are going to be fodder or practice for painting.

Human Alliance and the expensive battle ops are both very much worth a look.

Also the premium BB from the first movie is very nice (although probably now very hard to find at a reasonable price). In my opinion it is the single nicest version of BB yet produced (and given Hasbro's refusal to paint toys and their obsession with gimmicks over good representation very well may continue to hold the honor).

Although he does have a permanent battle mask, until battle blades BB comes out, I think that has been the most movie accurate representation of his face on a deluxe (and the mask on battle blades looks iffy- but after at least 10 go rounds they finally got the regular face right).

OOO isn't there a revoltech bee out already? It made me think of a decent version of those ROTF action master thingies that aren't called action masters. Ummm don't transform, kinda articulated. Anyway I've considered getting the revoltech version of bee but I suspect it will cost an organ or two.

There isn't a revoltech to my knowledge.

For me, the first movie Camaro Concept Bumblebee is the shit. Nothing in the ROTF line has made me want to replace it.

Not to mention I spent so much gas looking for that bastard.

What's Battle Blade Bumblebee about? Deluxe? Leader? Is it even out yet?

Human Allance Bumblebee is, IMO, vastly superior to any of the deluxe versions. I recommend it.

    Ebay:
^ It's a new-mold Deluxe. Look in News and Rumors for a review of it. Not out yet, will be this summer.

If I were you, I'd either get the HA or wait on this one. Battle Blades Bumblebee is the only one that has a working battle mask and as transforming gun arm.

Also, is the 2007 Concept Bee the deluxe one? Ebay is confusing on the subject. Currently Battle Blades is looking like the winner in this, but I enjoy flirting with the others.
