we've had 2 versions of grimlock in the past 3 years; the energon version and the classic. but wheres the voyager to leader sized version?!

hes always been popular amongst fans, also, hes a fricking t-rex!

it boggles the mind that hasbro has yet come to the obvious conclusion :(

Personally, I'd rather see them make that Classics Cosmos that we saw the designs for.

Yeah, you'd figure that Grimlock would have had a voyager T-Rex made of him, but I guess Hasbro's leery of releasing a character in that price point that's not in any kind of show in the past twenty years.

1up'd. I want a regular pricepoint Ironhide. Botcon Ironhide looked so sweet.

Yeah, I'm miffed about that as well, especially considering all the obscure characters that were made into Alternators - yet no freaking Ironhide, he should have been one of the first ones!

I was a little disappointed Grimlock was only a deluxe myself...it's a cool toy, I'd just love to see Grimlock as a bigger toy at some point. I can only hope for a MP version someday.

I'd love to see a huge Grimlock. I prefer Voyager size, though for him I'd say an Ultra. Make him nice and big so he can loom over them all and really terrorise the Decepticons into submission.

Damn. A big poppa Grimmy would be sweet, but Redline's mention of a proper Ironhide makes me giddy all over.

Yeah, there are a lot of characters I'd love to see...

But from the beginning, I was hoping the Classics Grimlock would be a Voyager. I mean, the last 2 Grimlocks we've gotten are total pipsqueaks! It's about time! If they can make an Ultra class Scourge for Cybertron, then we can make a Voyager T-Rex.

    Dammit.

I guess Alt Grimmy is sort of medium-sized... but I use my Roadbot Landcruiser kitbash as my Alt Grimlock anyway. :)

Where the Classics are concerned, I'm a little disappointed that characters like Rodimus, Starscream, Skywarp, Astrotrain, Ramjet & Mirage weren't Voyager size to begin with, and that Prime, Albino Prime, Meg's, Grimlock & Jetfire were done in Leader size. Bumblebee & Cliffjumper as Deluxes makes sense, but the rest should have been one to two size classes bigger imo. But whatever.

As for what we DO have, yeah, Grimlock should have been a Voyager. But at the same time, that would mean 4 Autobots are Voyager size while the Cons only have Meg's in the same size class. Combine that with the fact that the Autobots currently outnumer the Cons 8-5, with a 3-1 Voyager ratio, you're left with a pretty sad looking team of Decepticons in comparison. Hence why they NEED to make a Classics Shockwave!

Meh, but I guess some people (including Hasbro) will be looking at their sad excuse of a Classics Constructicon/Devastator team to keep the balance.

MP Grimlock could be awesome. He needs some more love.

I have to say, though, that Ironhide, IMO, seems to be lacking love more than any other major TF character. We needs a good one.

wouldn't mind a larger Grimlock, but I'd find a nice Classics/Cartoon-styled Ironhide more desirable at this time.

When you think about it, there's NEVER been a particularly large Grimlock (dino) toy. G1 Grim was the rough equivalent of a Mega/Voyager in its time, though it's not much bigger than a Deluxe by today's standards. Pretender Grim was a basic-size bot in a Voyager-size shell. Action Master was basically a basic. G2 was... same as G1, and everything with the Grimlock name from BW thru Classics has been Deluxe sized. (except the JusIToys WST Dinobots)

Feralstorm hit the nail on the head I think. Having a large Grimlock would be cool and all, but he never HAS been that big. He's always been really strong, yet he hasnt had to be a giant like Magnus or Jetfire to achieve such strength. It just comes naturally with him, and as a result makes him that much cooler. I mean it would be nice to see him bigger than his Classics version, but how big do you want it? If you make it too big, then the proportions will look weird and it wont really be him anymore. Look at it this way: Grimlock is the Wolverine of Transformers, and Wolverine's a pretty short guy ;)
