We're getting tons of news and previews of Fall of Cybertron which is awesome and I'm definately going to get that game, but what about Transformers: Universe? It's like they've dropped off the face of the earth....

I asked the same question a while back. It's like they are keeping the game a big secret until the release.

It's likely they are just deep in development and thus nothing to report.

True, but it would be nice toget some more info. To get people excited for the release, kind of like Firefall is doing.

It's unwise to release info when things are constantly in flux. This early in development anything they say is subject to, and most likely WILL, change. No amount of prefacing will help when what they deliver isn't what was shown. In game development it is best to wait until something is rock solid before announcing it. Plus it may be too far away to promote the game yet. Why promote something slightly over the course of a year and a half when promoting something in the 6 months prior to release will work better.

This is standard game development practices.

We'll probably see something at E3.

    That's a reasonable point.

But they haven't even put up the character designs they've already revealed in other conventions up on their website... that just seems odd to me.

It's a small game. It's far from a AAA title. They likely won't hype much at all. And doing so now would just generate a little excitement that fades to nothing when they resume silence. Their big advertising push will come a couple months before release. Until then expect nothing.

Red 5 isn't a very mainstream either and the hype angle worked for them. I understand that is a special case, but maybe some early alpha gameplay footage would be nice. Not much, jjust something to see in game footage.

Hopefully it'll be on the PC,PS3 and X-Box 360 when it's released. Those three have online features so it makes sense to release the game on all of them.

It's a browser based MMO, so PC only.

I hope it's not too advanced for some certain laptops to play on.
