wheres the best place to by styrene

    Any comprehensive/decent hobby shop should stock the small sheets man, but it looks like you may need to visit a local plastics distributor and just get a 4'x8' sheet. From the looks of the size of this thing, you're gonna need it! I think a sheet that size runs around $40. You can also use For Sale/For Rent signs too I think, I've never tried them though. You may need to double up on them if you use them, they're kinda thin.

    I agree. I bought a sheet of 4'x8' stryrene from a local plastic distributor and it cost me $40 and I had it cut to 2'x2' squares for free.

    ok ok the secret place that i buy styrene for almost at cost is.... lairds plastic... they have everything that you need at the price that you want... they only sale sheets but you can have all the sizes from 0.020 to 0.125 inchs thick !!

    .020x48x96 $ 8.55/sheet

    .030X48X96 $13.20/sheet

    .040x48x96 $18.15/sheet

    .060x48x96 $27.25/sheet

    .080x48x96 $35.35/sheet

    .100x48x96 $44.00/sheet

    .125x48x96 $56.75/sheet

    the price in us should be less and also all the sheets are 4x8 feet !!

    YES. THESE guys are great. Anemis, do you happen to know if they sell black styrene? I've been using it lately (getting it off ebay) and it's awesome.

    lol your in luck because they do sell in black... but not in all sizes if i,m right... but i believe in the 0.040 inch range or more so you can use if for most anything...
