I haven't seen ANYTHING of Silverbolt. I don't think there was even a figure. I know that they are keeping some characters away from trailers, so that could be the case....OR Silverbolt isn't in it at all.

BTW: One question: Does anyone know if the Cinemasks will work with IMAX 3D?

For the 24,386th time, Silverbolt is not in the film. Dude there have been hundreds of threads on this topic, we really didn't need another one.

He’s not in it. He was never going to be in it. Fans just put two and two together and came up with sixty-eight.

    Sorry about that.
I haven't been looking at the forums lately until now.
That probably explains why I didn't know about what caused his absence.
    Sorry

It's alright, don't be sorry. It's just that I never believed in the Silverbolt theory, anyway. There was never anything behind it.

I think Silverbolt was used as a code name for another transformer in the movie.

Not to attack you guys, but when was it ever confirmed Silverbolt wasn't in DOTM? I stopped reading Silverbolt threads a while back...

When he never appeared in any prequels or movie tie ins. He's more likely then not, a character in the game.

I think Silverbolt was code name for one of the wreckers. I think it's the target car lead foot.

Well I don't see any other autobot that would have Uncle phils voice except Mirage and Wheeljack. I've heard wheeljacks voice in the Gameplay of the videogame clip they showed and it clearly wasn't him and mirage seems like he would have a younger voice to him and not deep and old. Which now comes to the wreckers. It could be any three of them, but not to be mean to the actor but he is over weight and has a deep voice. Lead foot the target car is over weight and i can picture him having a deep voice. I could also see him as the leader of the wrecker/head of the group. Kinda like ed, eddn eddy. the shortest one of the group be the leader. Now this is all Speculations and guess but they do make since to a degree, but this is my opinion.

If I recall correctly, I read news on this site that James Avery said he would voice Silverbolt in the movie and now he doesn't? I mean at this point it's kinda obvious he won't, but still the information was there. Why didn't he put that right?

Silverbolt may not be in the books or even in the movie but he was comfirmed to be in the DOTM game with Air Raid and Breakaway as Aerial bots. He was probably one of the 3 that we see jump out of the back of Stratosphere.

Accept for James Avery outright saying "I voice Silverbolt in the new Transformers movie."

Though obviously plans have since changed, it's not like fans just came up with it out of nowhere.

    Here's the scoop:

    - Early script treatments (I can atest that I have a copy of a film-shoot-schedule ... they have names like "Q" and "Ultra Magnus" ... those later turned out to be "Wheeljack" and "Sentinel Prime") had the names secret/coded so in the case that voice actors messed up and dropped the ball on who they were voicing, it wouldn't give away the story.

    - "Silverbolt" is said to be the character in The Ark ... we know now that it is actually Sentinel Prime.

Why James Avery said "Silverbolt" when he's not voicing Silverbolt or Sentinel Prime is confusing. Perhaps he's Shockwave.
