I would like to see the escort missions continue, but my God, stop having the NPCs walk right into a crowd of zombies. Also, when Frank would carry someone it seemed like the zombies would never touch you as long as you were moving. It just seemed odd.
the escort missions drove me nuts too, the trick was to arm all your followers with pistols and use waypoints. that's how i got the saint achievement!
So apparently Blue Castle demoed it at Captivate this week. According to reports, the new engine can handle a maximum of 7000 zombies, which is 14 times the original max amount of zombies in the original game. Exactly how much slowdown there was when this was demonstrated isn't clear, but even so, that is utterly astonishing.
My head is exploding from all this. Dead Rising is still my favorite game for the 360, and all this news is just making me drool for the second. Especially a freaking chainsawing bike.
Damn, like I don't have enough crap draining my wallet, now this.... I'm going to sell my 360 and PS3 and go back to my Sega Genesis. I thought they just meant it was coming to both systems.
They basically announced the multiplayer too soon. To cover that they said they were misquoted when they said "multiplatform".
