Can anyone suggest a good place to get acrylic risers? I don't want figures to be hidden behind the front row in my display case anymore :p

I've heard the Ikea shot glass idea and the glued CD cases and what not, but I like a clean look. I've done a couple online searches but without good word of mouth I'm hesitant to use any of the random acrylic fabricators that pop up.

Ideally I'd like a couple long risers that will hold deluxes and a couple 3 tier staircase style ones for basics.

So if anyone has recommendations, I'm all ears.

I've gotten mine from eBay. There are several vendors and they have all sorts of sizes.

I get my acrylic risers from "the container store" look one up to see if you have one in your area.

Do you mean the white, step looking ones for salt and pepper? I've considered those but not sure if I like the look.

Or do they have clear ones that I missed?

The ones I have are actual clear acrylic stands, I found them in the collectibles section of the store. They have stands of different heights.

    That is tight!

I didn't like seeing the joints where they fused the pieces together but if you put a bot right in front of the joint it doesn't even matter LOL

Thanks man. These are much cheaper than the ones that look like they bent a single piece of acrylic.

Know what I used back in the college days? Cases from cassette tapes, with the papers removed.

I used to work in plastics and I'd just grab some sheet scraps and chuck them to cut on a CNC overnight. Then I'd come in the next morning and have a nice little shelf kit to assemble. :)
I also tried my hand at heat bending sheet plastic to make stands out of a single piece without joins but they never really came out to my satisfaction.
I don't work in that industry now but I'm suddenly tempted to go buy some acrylic sheets and take another crack at it.

those would help your display space alot man... that and getting new shelves... :thumb

i've been lucky enough to get some acrylics from my job, they're slightly used, but work really well for what i need... i still need more though, hopefully that'll happen soon... since we're clearing out some of the older ones...

I use a few empty Ferrero Rocher (Chocolates) cases. They're clear and with the newer rectangular ones, you can use both the lid and the case for a varying size riser.
