I love that book, and thoroughly support a film adaptation. Always thought Jim Henson's Creature Shop would do a marvelous job with the monsters if they were to hop on board the project.

I hope the reshootings didn't hurt it...:(  At least they didn't go full CGI in them.

I think I remember reading that a test-screening of this made several kids cry.

    Not a good sign....

I remember a test clip or something that showed off one of the monsters. I was amazed at how realistic it looked.

I hope it's still like that when this is released.

I've actually had the pleasure of meeting Maurice Sendak in his studio while in college. Fascinating man. One of the things he talked about with "Where The Wild Things Are" was that it came out of the things that scare children, and how when you really look at something, it might not be as scary as you make it out to be. The book is one of my absolute favorite children's illustrated books. I hope this movie serves as a nice companion piece to the book.

call me weird, I think it is a good sign. If you meant censorship will come down hard on them then I agree.

    *wait for teaser trailer*

I remember reading the book when I was too small to actually read. I hope it's good for kids today. (i.e., not over-the-top retarded)

The movie looks sweet. (not sweet like "JAWESOME!" but like it's touching) I'm actually glad that it looks like they went with puppet/costume monsters instead of CGI.

Visually impressive, but doesn't entice me. Rental perhaps, but just not my cup of tea, then again I didn't care for the book when I was a kid either. I've always been so engulfed by TFs that I just didn't make time for a lot of things.
