For a while they kept saying that the final battle would take place at the Hoover dam. From the recent videos and stuff, it seems like Optimus and Megatron duke it out in the city. Did something change?

Ok so from what I can understand, the Decepticons attack the dam (housing Megatron, the Allspark, and the recently captured Bumblebee) and the attack awakens Megatron who frees himself and flies to the city chasing after the Autobots and Sam with the Allspark? Something like that? I really don't want to know anymore than that.

Does the final battle take place in LA? I remember them filming there a while back.

 

I think so, I remember some of those buildings in the trailer. I live by downtown so I know the streets.

If by NY you mean the New York New York casino in Vegas then yes. And in the novelization, I think they said the final battle took place in Las Vegas...not the strip obviously. That is where my money is on...get it cause its Vegas and they gamble in Veg...nevermind. I think they filmed in LA but as a stand in for Vegas

 

Broadway & 8th Street, Downtown, Los Angeles, California, USA was the city depicted in the final battle scene.

 

Question answered then.

 

The whole 'finding Megs in the 20's and storing him in the dam' part of this story, I think, pretty intriguing.
