What do you guys think about the clicking noise the ratchet joints make when bent?

Personally, it get's me VERY excited, but it bugs the hell out of my mom.

    Where do you guys stand?

Love the click, but much more so on an old G1 than more recent stuff, G1s had sort of a smoother click.. :thumbs2:

It depends on the type of click it is.

Heavy loud clicks piss me off. Softer clicks arouse me.

It annoys me at work because I work in a call center and loud noises tend to stand out. Otherwise I don't really care what noise it makes as long as it doesn't break.

    Click is good.

Ratchet joints tend to really stand up well over time. Any g1 toy you have with ratchets ; very likely still has functional ratchets. It stands up better to play than ball joints or friction swivels.

When its used in the legs it helps support a lot of upper body weight, backpacks and weapons.

Look at cybertron megatron/galavatron. Lots of weight. But he can hold his poses well because of ratchets.

Thank the Click. Or your toys would fall over.

Yeah, what he said. :)  The louder the click, the safer I feel. Super strong ratchet joints mean you can mess around with those figures a lot, but you don't have to worry about the joints becoming loose.

G1 Galvatron is probably responsible for my love of ratchet joints. He's a brick in the lower body, but he has a ball joint level of articulation in the shoulders, all done with ratchet joints.

Also, not a Transformer but I just got the Terminator Salvation Harvester figure, which has nice ratchet joints in the knees and ankles.

    I like the click.

Supreme Devastator's joints leave me with a feeling of "oooh, that was good...".
