More then not I personally don't care for them because, 1) if your not careful you can loose them, and 2) a lot of times they look out of place.

I just toss the missiles aside unless they look good.

    1. Take toy out of package
    2. Get missiles
    3. Throw them away in accessory box
    4. ???
    5. Profit

The only time they ever look good is when they're with the Classics Seekers, so they can have that null ray look.

I'm really indifferent to them. Som I juts put in a labeled plastic baggy and put away and others I'll leave on the figures. It's not a huge deal to me. The gimmick is there for kids, so we're stuck with it.

They look a LOT better than this "gigantic-ass gun that sticks off the side of the alt mode" crap.

If it doesn't complete the look of a figure, I toss the actual missile in a cupboard and forget about it. I don't really fire them off because, well, the only missiles handy are the ones I don't want to loose (i.e. the "complete the look" ones).
    Bots with missiles I keep:
    Transquito
    Sky Shadow (the Fuzor)
    Injector
    Leader Starscream
    Hailstorm
    HftD Sea Spray

Warpath and Hailstorm need to be added to that list. Just cut Warpath's stem.

I don't really care for them. Unless they are themed especially for that figure that goes great with the gun. *Cough*seaspray*cough*

I don't like them too much... Pretty easy to loose, and they usually look out of place... One of the only ones I like is Human Alliance Leadfoot's because it makes it look like he has a more movie-accurate gun...

I love missiles since they add more aesthetic to the design department. My preference would be removable missile that goes into the launcher and somehow stay secure or lock in there e.g. G1 Roadbuster or City Commander. The worst one are those that have spring inside the launcher. I hate those kinds, my missiles are either lost or in the long run no longer shoot.

Agreed. The rest of the time, it really does look out of place.

It really depends. For example, I love TF1 Voyager Optimus's (Though it always falls off), but a flame that takes away from a stationary mode is obtrusive.

However I will sat that in the case of Voy TF1 Prime, they compete the alt. mode.

I like them for what they are, although it seems like Hasbro isn't using them as much as they used to.

Very few DotM figures have firing missiles (although some of the Cyberverse playsets have them) and none of the TFP toys, FE or RID, have them. This leads me to believe they are being eliminated either for safety reasons or simply because kids aren't impressed by them anymore.

I'm completely against them. They're useless at best, and greatly detrimental to the figure at worst, when they form part of the gun (like with the Classics Seekers), since you can easily lose them. The firing mechanisms can sometimes be big and ugly, as well.
