What if your little children or dog drop your favorite TF toy?
Well, it is just an assumption. I believe that lots of fans here are ovel twenty and maybe have already become a family or have a child. Since that do you still want to share the joy with your little child without awareness of the toy's value?

On shelf made of glass is not good choice. because one of my friend has got a broken toy by his dog.

I don't have a dog, nor any pet, so it should be ok. My collection room has a door that kids won't be able to open. Kids that are old enough to open it will respect the collection or get their retribution.

also, everytime after I reposition my collection, I purposely jump (no kidding) really hard to create and simulate an earthquake or at least reasonable vibration to test that none of them will fall off the shelves.

I keep them in a hermetically sealed glass chamber, reinforced by six inches of steel, and eleven inches of concrete that is buried 40 feet underground and guarded by nine overpaid, overqualified, and overfed security guards in addition to a state of the art theft protection system.

I didn't start collecting until my kids were old enough to know not to touch things. But I'd say if you want to keep them safe from dogs and toddler's just learning to get around, put them in a spare room and close the door if you can. Up high shelves are okay, but I'd imagine most collectors here would run out of space real quick.

    I don't have kids or pets. :)

But I'm looking at getting a kitten or two... so this is probably a good topic for me to watch!

I have two cats (had them since they were kittens) and i just keep the spare bedroom/toyroom closed at all times otherwise they would be on the shelf knocking them over.

I don't have any kids but I have a cat. He is not allowed in my collection room...EVER. In this room everything is on shelves and bookcases, so it's all safe anyway. The only danger to my TFs is my clumsy ass.

I dont have kids, but I learned a hard lesson thanks to my brother's brats. After what they did to some of my BW figures, I now lock my game/computer room when I'm not around now. I still see BW Inferno looking like Waspinator after being blown up.

No kids, no pets, no annoying people around to destroy my precious colorful plastic. They just sit on shelves in my bedroom, which I'm in pretty much all the time.

My toys are safely on the shelf in my bedroom also. The only enemies are my clumsiness and gravity. No serious casualties there, although I may lose a part here or there.

My figures stay on my shelves. The dogs aren't allowed in mine and my girlfriends' bedroom. And her nephew knows better than to touch my toys.

But yeah, high shelves, closed door. That easy.

Mine are either in display cases or just lying around. My cat doesn't chew them but will rub his head on them from time to time.

Shelves are a Transformers' best friend. Helps to not have kids or pets.

Mine are in a dedicated room. My VERY hyperactive dog knows that he's not allowed in past the area the door swings in.

HOWEVER if I tell him he's a good boy for doing it he often forgets that he's not allowed in, and it becomes a task to try and control his super strong tail from hitting anything.

Simply, mine are STILL in their boxes and others are on a shelf. I hate it but since I live in a APT it makes it hard for to display.

i make sure they are in Vehicle mode before storing them. they are more sturdy and static in alt mode, most of the time.
