Where do Transformers Rank in most popular boys toys of 2006??

    Hey guys,
    really need your help please.
    I need to know where Transformers rank as far as a top 10 or top 100 of boys toys for 2006.

    If you can help me out, I'd really appreciate it, and can you please send me the url (or paste it within you reply) so I know where you found it?

    From what I can remember from some press releases I read...
    For the year of 2006-
    1. Star Wars
    2. GiJoe
    3. Bionicle
    4. Transformers

    So yeah, Hasbro is dominating, and Transformers are generally high up. I've boughten plenty of stuff from every line in the top four save GiJoe (that's my brother's department).

    i figured TFs would be below #5, but im not really with the times. i didnt really know GiJoe was popular anymore either. he's become sort of a cliché lol

    Wha? I have a problem believing GI Joe would rank that high. I don't see how Power Rangers isn't in the top four, let alone GI Joe ranking higher than it.

    The problem is that depending on what data you use and how you interpret it, you can get vastly different rankings. In addition, I would not put Bionicle with action figures, as it is commonly sold as a construction set.

    I think the general placement tends to vary from year to year, but in practice....
    Star Wars, Power Rangers, Transformers, WWE and GI Joe are all usually among the top 5 brands in a given year.

    Lego markets them as action figures, sure they're construction sets, but in all outside media descriptions they're rated as action figures.
    Besides, that was for Boys brands, nothing about where it was restricted to just Action Figures, and I was also surprised that I didn't hear any mention of Power Rangers in ANY press releases about rankings.
