I use these because the style and color choices are great, and I refer to the illustrations for my projects. Long ago, I found a site with all TFs in this style but can no longer find it.

Anyone know a site with many TFs illustrations like this on it?

The artwork itself looks like the art from the Dreamwave "More Than Meets the Eyes" profile books.

^ What Olds442 said. I have all the MTMTE books, and I use them constantly for reference. I actually found the whole set for $2 each at Half Price Books a while back. Amazon occasionally has the trade paperbacks. Hope this helps!

i got every UK tf comic + the annuals, all the dreamwave and wwi and GIJoe crossovers stuff and more than meets the eye on a disc for my computer, still not the same as having them on paper though.

Uhh, no they don't. In fact, YOUR OWN AVATAR is artwork from that collection, in which Rumble is red.

I've read Don Figueroa is a firm supporter of the RIBFIR movement.

I don't know about his personal preference, but as far as this work goes...as far as anybody's work goes....everything produced since the the g1 cartoon has gone either RIRFIB or at worst intentionally ambiguous.

(I think there might have been a gi-joe crossover that went RIBFIR)

What's the deal with these books? I realized these are listed as "pre-order" status on amazon, and won't be shipped until Jan 2009???

I want these now. can someone link where to get them in paperback?

I don't know where they have them for sale other than e-bay, but don't rely on Amazon to ever have what they claim to sell. I ordered a TPB (I think it was time wars), and they kept the order open about a year before they fessed up and admitted they couldn't fill the order.
