spring 2009 (march-may). I'd say. (vaguely, and only because the previous two took place in that season)

I go by michaelbay.com (doesn't seem to be up right now) I sort of gage the next Botcon to be at the time of the release of TF2.

Also I wouldn't bet on a leader Lugnut... mostly because they wanted to gauge the sales on the other one first, and I don't know about everyone else's areas, but he's a shelfwarmer around here...

I'm actually seriously thinking about going to next year's Botcon (it would be my first) - what is the usual cost to attend? (not counting Hotel rooms and stuff like that...)

    and as if by magic...

The next big event that comes to mind for revealing upcoming items is Toy Fair early next year. There might be some other stuff in the mean time, but that is the biggest one that I can think of.

As regards Leader Lugnut, when I asked at Botcon, the response was they are working on other characters, so I guess it is not impossible, just improbable. There generally are not more than 2-3 Leader molds over an 18 month stretch, plus a couple of repaints -

    Optimus - Megatron - Galvatron
Optimus - Megatron - Metroplex - Galaxy Force Optimus - Galvatron
Optimus - Megatron - Brawl - Nightwatch Optimus - Desert Brawl - Premium Optimus - Premium Megatron
Bulkhead - Megatron - Ultra Magnus - Shadow Blade Megatron - Roadbuster Ultra Magnus

Each line, except Energon, has three new molds, then repaints of those three. Animated already has three. With the trend to use more smaller classes, I doubt Hasbro will invest in another big toy. But I'd be happy to be proved wrong.
