1- Do you just get up and switch channels using on the tv? Simple eh or 2- Or do you spend a half an hour running around looking for the remote until you find it, then sit down and change the channel? (when the tv is only 3 feet away) Im with #2. What is that called? Unlazy Laziness?
Usually #2 for me, also. But if it's REALLY misplaced, I'll eventually cave and use the buttons on the TV. It's just a pain to use only up/down buttons when I want to go from channel 12 to channel 52. And the brightness, etc. can't be adjusted without a remote on our TVs. And FWIW, it's ALWAYS the wife who loses the remote. It'll end up under blankets, behind the couch, in the kitchen, or (my favorite) the upstairs remote will be downstairs and vice versa.
Yes, women , stop losing our remotes. Gawd. Another thing is , when you're both laying in bed and can't find the remote, does she always look under you first? Im like check over there , or next to the bed, or under your own ass first. Which is usually where it is.
My 11 step-son has ADD. I've found the remote in the pantry next to the cereal at times. Believe me, I've found this "lost" remote in the strangest of places.
I'll be searching for the remote. In fact, I've did that once... I couldn't find it, couldn't find it and was getting very pissed off. Finally, my brother joins in on the search and manages to find it stuck right in between the cushions... right WHERE I have been searching. Can't help the fact that the remote was black and the couch was a dark blue.
I would be # 2. Only because my cable box doesn't have any buttons on it to change the channel. Without the remote, I'm screwed.
i never lose the remote. when my wife loses the remote, 9 times out of 10 its under the same cushion that she's sitting on, and she'll swear up and down that it isn't just so that i don't make her get off the couch... but there it is, nearly every time.
This has happened to me years ago so to stop it I purchased a universal remote so when 1 gets lost I have a spare and normally when you are not looking for something it shows up.
