That's pretty awesome. Would make a cool door greeter.

"Thank you for shopping at our store" *smiles*

    *alarm goes off*

*angry face* "You now have 10 seconds to cooperate, drop the goods or perish fool"

    *goes haywire, slaughters mall*

I find that robot to be totally creepy, but interesting.

I wonder how long it'll be before they get robots like that to do actual modeling.

    So true.

Same as previous posters; it's creepy, yet it's fascinating at the same time. I'm not really surprised that the inventors leaned toward an anime-like face. It's Japan, let 'em make what they want to make.

Well, look at it this way...we're keeping the world from overpopulating. That's KIND OF a good sign.

On second thought, no, it's not.

Now it's only a matter of time before Japan creates pleasure robots for people who are REALLY lonely. :lol

The mental image of that thing being confused by camera flash and pulling the wrong facial expressions is hilarious.
Still, I like the two to the left of it in the picture. Those look really neat.

I agree with ya on that. They look awesome. Imagine having one of those around to guard your house!

As far as the chick bot goes...i'm shocked they have it amazingly size proportionate. But...it is unlike the japanese to give a anime chick small boobs...

Im just jealous. The Japanese have so much fun with technology.

If they made those in the US, they'd probably make them telemarkerters and send to India.

Wow, what a blank expression on her face though. She moves surprisingly well, it's a great step forward in robotics methinks. We're getting closer to living in the future. No jetpacks/flying cars/ray guns, but we are getting video communication and robot butlers.
