The really crappy FF movie was to retain the rights to make the better one.

And the only reason why I can see why they (supposedly) killed him was because his popularity is low and they needed something to spark it.

 

First of all, I just want to say that Colbert-haters should go away. Stephen Colbert is not just a "funnyman." He's an icon. An American hero. He now has his own ice cream, even!

Second, Cap was killed off as part of the Civil War storyline. He wasn't the only target, either - Spidey nearly got shot by a sniper too. Almost all of the New Warriors are dead. Goliath is dead. The Fantastic Four are a mess. Etc, etc.

 

Comic deaths as a part of a Civil War won't make them any more permanent.

Also, Colbert isn't Jesus, he's just a funny man.
