When is it being released this month?
It's being released this month. There's no such thing as a release date with most Transformers figures, though, so don't expect "The 12th" or any such.
As for availability on wm.com, there may never be any. Exclusives being sold online is pretty much hit or miss, mostly miss, with WM.
Just don't buy any!!! If you leave them alone there will be more on clearance in a few months!
but then I'd have to wait?
Jeez, this month? I was under the impression it was coming later in the fall.
it's either this month or October
Walmart.com did have several exclusives shortly after the big June 2nd tf movie releases hit.
- Robot Heroes 5 pack was there long before it hit stores, and even had free shipping.
-BB VS Barricade was online, sold out, then came back on sale before selling out again.
-Prime for the ages 2 pack was online for a bit.
Never saw Classics Devastor, or Ravage & Rumble alternator exclusives, but I wasn't looking either. I have seen them in stores recently though, seasons after their initial release, and not on clearance either.
But with a high end collectible like MP Starscream, they probably don't want repeats like MP Prime going on clearance for half price, so I would imagine this could/should hit walmart.com at some point.
AND with the encore G1 reissue imports being at walmart.com, I'd say chances are good that MP Starscream will hit it at some point. But I would check often if I were you.
Devastator was available through walmart.com, but the Alternators exclusives never were.
Aside from having to wait until it may not be available to try and get it at a clearance price, that also shows Hasbro they shouldn't bother releasing as many higher ticket and collectors level items. Way to go
I was understanding October or November myself.
Aaaaand of course the "waiting for clearance" attitude is not what regularly gets toylines cancelled, noooo.
Not to mention this thing is being priced at only $50 which is a really sweet price for a MP figure. I wouldn't expect these things to last very long on store shelves at $70, but at $50 collectors will pick them up like crazy (insert rehashed scalper talk here). I'm also sure that a lot of Japanese fans will be wanting one of these too, so while I am sure Hasbro is aware of the demand, I still expect these to be in relatively short supply, especially knowing Walmart's shoddy distribution for exclusives (BB/Barricade 2-pack, Rumble, Ravage, and Devastator). I know if I see one I'm buying it right away, unless my friend who works at a Walmart can snag one before I can.
Japanese fans won't have to import this. They are getting their own version of it.
Oh I must have missed that news item. Thanks a lot. At least that means there may be a potential second source for them if my Walmart doesn't get any.
Actually they are going to be %59.99, which is still not bad considering.
i'll be surprised if i ever see him with the crappy distribution here.my walmart missed the last 6 exclusives...
I hope I am lucky enough to find one. I do not want to have to go the ebay route.
I'm not complaining about my $45 20th Prime. For a repaint of a toy I already paid over $100 for....I'll wait, and the price will drop. I'm sure WM will still make a bit of cash from me.
Is also expecting a Black Friday special on Ultimate BB somewhere.
It slated date is in late November '07. I hope we can get this at clearance price.
Where are you getting $60? It's been found in Wal-Mart's computer systems listed for whatever odd variation of $49 and change they felt like using.
