The one that Sony is doing.
No one knows yet. If I had to guess I'd say somewhere within a week or two of the movie this summer.
Sometime this summer.
To rebuy, or not to rebuy?
That is the estimated $80 question
I think it will be a rebuy for me. If they stuff it full of extras like they did with the new movie release.
Even with extras I wont be buying this set. They would have to be ridiculously good for that to happen.
Glad I passed on the Rhino release
What's already known to be better than the Rhino releases at this point? Sorry, I missed any prior conversation on this.
never got them the first time so now ill get them this time
Already got the Rhino releases, don't need any more extras, I've got all the episodes so I am happy. That's cool that the seasons will be rereleased for anyone who didn't get them the first time around.
I wonder if/when TF cartoons will get some major tv airtime in order to promote the film.
I never bought the Rhino version so this time it's a must. Interestingly enough the Rhino dvd sets are fetching high prices on Ebay. Perhaps the sellers are making room for the Sony sets?
i have the whol erhino collection already. Except for heavy metal war's added blunders and small amount of extras, the rhino sets were great imo.
I wouldnt buy Sony's releases unless they get Flint Dille to do commentary on all the eps lol..
I wonder if the prices will be lower or higher?
I have seasons one and two on VHS, only, so the Sony DVD set(s) will be a must for me.
I have also noticed how high the prices are on G1 DVD's. It is sort of surprising that they have yet gone down in price. Since I never bought the Rhino version, I may possibly buy Sony. If and when it happens.
I recently noticed I was missing the second Volume of season 2. So I will have to at least pick that one up. Then I can compare before I decide if replacing the Rhino versions is worth it.
does anybody know if these will be regular dvd or on bluray? also are they remastering the toons or just redoing the interactive screens?
it would be a bad move to bring them out on bluray, at the moment dvd is the dominant form and i have no intenetion on buying a player that will mean nothing to me at all
