Good god, I feel really old now.

But nonetheless, why not Go-Bots. There has been far worse put on DVD and TV by Fox over the last 8-9 years.

If only they would air Go-Bots on Boomerang for a couple rotations....

Leader-1's head looked obscene to me.
(before i knew what that meant, that is scary.)

I know it was easier to do, but if they put JEM and MOTU out, we need our Go-Bots fix, too.

I enjoyed Go-Bots. In fact, I have the series pilot (The Battle For Gobotron), The Gobotron Saga (3-part miniseries), and The Battle Of The Rock Lords on DVD. I wanted them cleaned up and saved from being lost due to the ravages of time. I'd gladly own the entire series on DVD if it ever made it into production.

And it's a whole hell of a lot better than Armada. In fact, I enjoy it more and facepalm less than G1.

Now, compare it to Animated and Beast Wars, and there's no comparison. (Animated wins all, btw.) That doesn't change the fact that Go-Bots is worthy of a DVD release.

I'd buy it. I still love Crasher and Small Foot. They were fun. Cy-kill's a riot too.

And yeah- Full House? 11 fooking seasons of Full House? If there's a market for that trash, then I don't see why Gobots wouldn't do well too. They're putting every other 80s cartoon on DVD (no matter the quality of the show, and trust me- there's far worse cartoons out there than Gobots).

Hell, I'd buy it. Throw in some exclusive Leader-1 like they did with that Snake Eyes figure with the Joe DVD a while back and they're sure to move a decent number of copies.

And what's with the random Full House hate? Sure it was hokey and we aren't their target demographic, but the show was far from horrible. Let's see a single Transformers series last 10+ seasons and then we'll talk.

I liked the GoBots show too (it was either watch that or My Little Pony). I still have a couple VHS releases.

It was a Hanna-Barbera Production which means it's now a Time-Warner owned property. And if Warner Home Video has cut back on releasing the rest of the volumes of their classic animated properties due to poor sales, it makes the chances that they'll release a GoBots DVD even less likely.

And then you have the end of DVD coming down the pike a few years from now, at which point the studios will all be too busy reselling everything you already have on BluRay...

Megaforce will probably be released on BluRay before GoBots comes to DVD.

I liked Go-Bots as a kid. Last time I watched an episode was probably in the 80s, and I probably have rose-tinted memories.

Then again, prior to buying the Rhino boxed sets, I hadn't seen 80s Transformers since the 80s. As a 20-something, I still ate up the boxed sets and enjoyed the hell out of those episodes.

I have no delusions about the legitimate crappiness of Go-Bots (or 80s Transformers), but I will happily watch it on DVD. :)

Hey, if Bravestarr can make it on to DVD there's more than hope for the rest of these. ^_~
