War Within Volume 3 4 - Transformers Comic Books and Graphic Novels - TFW2005

in age of wrath issue 1 grimlcok died during megatron's clone seeker assault

so how did the guy come back from the dead in the clone seekers body that shockwave was attempting to reverse engineer for megatron in the age of wrath storyline

or did grimlock somehow manage to actually exist as a kind of high tech disimbodied digital ghost between the time of his original body's death and the moment his spark possesed the clone seekers body for itself to inhabit?

    Gah! Spoilers in subject lines!

I'm only partway through the War Within series, so yeah...thanks for that. But I'll acquiesce that the series has been published for about 10 years now. I'm just slow going through it because I try to find discount deals on back issues.

You might find an answer to your question in the TFWiki:

Well, to be fair, he's asking for details on an unpublished issue, so "spoilers" would be a little off.

Yeah, I only skimmed over his post trying to avoid any other spoilers, and I didn't want to click the link either.

I did not know DW never completed the WW storyline. That gives me less motivation now to finish picking up all the back issues.

It has not been explained. It would probably have been covered in Issue 5. I expect the explanation will be that Grimlock also has the same Spark defect as Starscream i.e. his Spark can survive without a body and possess the bodies of others.

    He's Grimlock.

    He's too badass to die.

The fact that this all happens in Shockwave's lab would seem to imply to me that Shockwave had something to do with it.

I'll make it real simple :)

    "ME Grimlock BADASS"

There, now we all know the reason in full scientific glory

Yeah knowing you're never going to be able to finish reading a story is a great motivator for not continuing to read or to not even start to begin with. And even less motivation for reading it again. I have all the issues that were published and still didn't know this. I do think it's great of Simon Furman to be giving us the rest of the story I just wish he could do it in some sort of comic book form.

I can see that argument for the unfinished Age of wrath miniseries but the original ww and ww: the dark ages are selfcontained enough miniseries to warrant reading through.
