From the info our favorite insider gave us, MP-10 is selling OUT no problem. It has really ignited the MP line again:2c:

Where was that said? I haven't seen 1 online retailer sell out of him. Some have close to 500 left.

^ Might just not be selling well outside of Asia.

Maybe. It could be one of those things where stores get 6 and sells out. Selling out can be thought of many different ways I guess.

Alucard, the insider mentioned that sales where so strong for MP-10 Prime that it made Megatron v2 go from not on the list to a priority on said list.

Exactly. Asia is the core market for MP toys.

And it was TCracker who specifically said this. People forget what kind of Havoc the Yen/Dollar exchange rate can wreak. People in Japan are paid in Yen and are therefore immune to that. So a crazy price, after exchange is 1) muted to them and 2) baseline numbers are expected to be higher because of the different market dynamic.

just ordered one from bbts... Had a big pile of loot, figure I'd add something to get me to ship those insecticons now.

if ebay is an indicator, it's going for slightly more than 250...

I've seen that argument made with the cost of Herc as well. While buying more toys for the $540 price tag that 6 robots gets you is great, Hasbro's offerings (in the really bad movie stuff, just my opinion) is not worthwhile. I'd rather have a great toy than a bunch of mediocre or bad toys no matter the cost.

If it does eventually sell out, you can be sure to expect a reissue/2nd or 3rd run of MP10.

Well, you really have to look at the whole picture. In our fandom, people like to take minor studies that aren't representative of the country, let alone the WORLD for that matter and make WILD claims.

Just because one retailer still has 500 MP-10's, does that mean they didn't sell well. Can you take BBTS inventory level and say

"MP-10 is an absolute FAILURE BECAUSE THEY have 500 left!!"

How many did they start with?
Did all buyers interested in MP-10 buy from BBTS exclusively (I'm getting mine from edbomber)

    and the magic question

Is an American internet toy store representative of TT's market?

Well, I'll be damned. If this is true, I'm excited. I'm not interested in any run of the mill MP figures anymore, but a GOOD MP Megatron would be irresistable.

Using american sites to gauge popularity of a japanese toy is absolutely insane. The fact that it's readily available at all should be an indicator of its popularity. MP-10 is selling well, this has been confirmed.

Me thinks doust protest too much. You said sell out. Sell out means sell out. As in, not available and sold out. I am just saying I am not seeing that.

If you want to dramatize my question into stating it is a huge flop then that is on you. You seem to always answer your questions to me with attitude which is nice and all, but gets old quick.

All I was saying is that I do not see sell outs. Haven't seen it at one online retailer. That was my point. If it sold well then great. I rather get more MP figures anyway.

Well if you look at RK, HLJ they are not sold out there either.

As mentioned, I asked a question about it selling out. When I look around and still see quantities everywhere I look it's not a sell out.

So let's not blow this too out of proportion.

MP10 to drop price, pretty difficult unless Hasbro release this MP10, there may have slight chance of MP10 dropping in price.
