Howdy, I've been a long time lurker, now a first time poster. I learned many tricks and techniques from this site, so it's due time I share what I've picked up. Jazz is a product of cheap styrene, magnets, and a mild case of OCD. I loved this Jazz sculpt, and I just had to give him that big ol' box spoiler. The hardest part was grinding down the original mounts for the small spoiler that I pried off. It's now a parts-former, but it was worth it. To top him all off, I used Reprolabels stickers and made a few of my own for the spoiler and rear windows.

Wheeljack was a result of making its Reprolabels set "flow" better, and trying to find a use for all the leftover styrene from Jazz. From looking at a few reference pics of the badass Stratos HF Turbo, I made some louvres for the rear, a roof intake, and added an overhead wing. After seeing someone else's work here on a excellently modified Wheeljack, I decided to paint the rims as well. And lastly, I added some tail light "lenses" and stickers for his exhaust pipes/wrenches.

All in all, it helps differentiate between Wheeljack and Tracks. In any case, thanks for looking!

Very good first post man! I especially like the Louvres and top spoiler for the Wheeljack, but the Jazz wing is also top notch! Looking forward to seeing more of your work!

Your mods look great and excellent job on the styrene work. A suggestion, since your jazz is now a parts-former why not make the doors detachable?

Excellent work! I love the styrene work on both! I done quite a bit of custom G1-styled Jazz spoilers for this mold for others and I've been planning to do the same to my Wheeljack, along with a slightly larger spoiler (already done a ton of other mods on him, including fixing parts on his head). Great minds (and G1 fans) think alike! lol

    Keep up the great work!

Many thanks for the warm welcome and kudos! Wheeljack turned out to be a lot busier than I had envisioned, but looking at all the pics of the Stratos just gave me more stuff to emulate.

I did see that mod a while back, but I do prefer Jazz with his doors outward. If anything, I was thinking of making a joint so that the doors could have higher angles in bot mode. Maybe later on when I get bored again.

What I learned from these mods: 1. Brush-on krazy glue absolutely LOVES to bond styrene (to skin). 2. The straightness of a line being scored on styrene is inversely proportional to the speed and pressure of the stroke. 3. Neodymium magnets are awesome! :D
