As a car nerd its a massive step-down from his Stratos mode :p , but as a toy nerd this is looking pretty awesome. Look forward to seeing it finished!

One word, and it'll suit wheeljack and this car... bosozoku. ;-)

I don't see it as a step down, more a side step. Looks seriously cool.

It looks great. But I would have rather had seen some color images.

I was actually thinking of making a Sideswipe like this last night but I couldn't find the right scale lambo model on ebay. 1/24th is still too close to the gen 1 size.

    Great!

Nice car choice. While its no Stratos, I would choose this chassis over a pre 2011 Mustang GT any day.

i think this looks more like wheeljack in bot mode than the mustang altenator ever did, never did like that one cuz of the bot mode, with the fornt end of the car being his chest in all, instead of the roof of the car and of course his feet not being the front end of the car.

    Its 1/24 scale

I have some colored images, he is still not painted yet but he will be.
1/24 is mostly a voyager size, I think G1 are smaller then 1/32 scale

I agree, the alternator one didn't look like him, color wise or bot mode. Only his head looks like Wheeljack

That is awesome! But, I don't see that as Wheeljack. I see that as one of the three Omnibots which the white one was in fact a Toyota Celica, but a newer model. I forget if it was Camshaft or Downshift, but that's who that reminds me of. Sweet, can't wait to see it all finished up!

very swish I'm a huge JDM nerd at times and this really ticks all my boxes. Kinda wish I had picked the TA22 over the Datsun 510 I picked when I did my drawing

it was Downshift, Camshaft was a Mazda RX7 (SA22)... odd given its a rotory powered car

Oh yea! And funny that too. I guess using the word Camshaft was easier for them than to think of something from a rotory engine. Could've named him Backfire?
