More pics; The rear risers are basically done and just need a top surface applying to them; I was going to do that earlier, but I couldn't seem to find any thin styrene sheets, so I had to nip into town and pick a couple up.

I've also now got the posts on the back of the pack which plug into the holes in his back (see pic 4). Once it's fitted, the flap that becomes the nose of his car mode fits neatly between the risers (pic 3). And (pics 6-8) I've rigged a hinge for the canopy, so you can get at the seats. Although it's not shown in these pics, I later picked up some thicker wire; this was only 1mm dia, so it was easily bent out of shape. A roll of 1.5mm dia wire proved much tougher and more secure.

You might think that, Rumble, but the Radicons forum is set up (and the mods have said as much) so that you start a new thread for each update - that's why you can only post pics in the first post of the thread, why it's limited to ten pics, and why you can't embed pictures from external sources into later posts.

When Redline suggested that I transfer the info from the contest forum to here, I asked him about whether I should do it as multiple threads or all in one go, and this here is the result.

Glad you like, though. When the backpack resurfaces, I can get back to work on it... :p

Oh, I haven't found it yet; these threads are basically transferring the info from the contest forum, which is getting deleted soon.

Don't worry, the pack'll turn up - I've got a pretty good idea where it is, I just haven't had a chance to have a proper look for it.

Well I certainly wish you well in finding that blasted backpack... not only is it holding you up, but you put a lot of work into it! Read my reply to your part 2 thread to see how I made the pictures show up inside your first post :)
