    Lol, I am actually watching the show right now:p , discovery airs an episode every day here in Sweden. I have probably seen every episode, the show is fun and very interesting to watch.

    Damn, I didn't know they were on series 10 now, I thought they stopped making it after series 6 or something. The funny thing is that Sweden is making their own version of Wheeler dealer.

    I've been watching the show for about a year now, mostly because i love cars and working on them... Just like Top Gear without Jezza I doubt the show will carry on much further without the camaraderie between the hosts...

    Sad to see $$$ ruin a great concept, and I'll be looking forward to seeing what Edd does in the future!

    It wasn't really money that ruined the series, but the cultural differences between the British and Americans. Time and again, history has proven that Americanizing a British series can be disastrous, from Top Gear America to Bean: The Ultimate Disaster Movie. While Wheeler Dealers spent the last two seasons in the U.S., it still retained its British formula. But when Velocity suggested to trim the restoration sequences - which is the heart of the series - that's where Edd drew the line.

    Ant Anstead, who will replace Edd in Series 14 this year, previously worked in a car restoration series titled For the Love of Cars. Unlike Wheeler Dealers, For the Love of Cars was geared toward restoring classic cars for auction rather than reselling. Because of this, Edd and Ant have very different philosophies in terms of mechanics. Edd is very technical and will often keep to the budget, while Ant is more methodical and is used to a more concourse budget. This may result in some chemistry issues between Mike and Ant.

    But then again, we won't know until Series 14 premieres.

    My point was that trimming the restoration was done to save money...that's the part of the show that really interested me, since I'm sort of a shadetree mechanic myself...

    The buying/selling was always the weakest part of the show for me, despite the fact I used to sell cars. I intend to give the new format a chance, though I'll miss Edd... Honestly the mistake they made with Top Gear wasn't americanizing it, it was having the original (and far superior) British version available at the same time. Adam, Rut, and Tanners show was good on its own, but when you can watch the original why would you settle for an imitation?

    so wait, they're gonna cut back on filming/focusing on the restoration process and focus more on what?...the buying and selling process?...that's gonna suck.

    I'd be one to say that IS NOT a reason "car guys" watch car shows...

    My country, 'tis of thee,
    Messing with Brit tv,
    Of thee I see;
    Land where a top gear died,
    Land where coupling got fried,
    At least the Office tried,
    Leave WHO alone!
