why the huge-ass signature images? I don't like scrolling past the same images over and over.
You can turn off sig images in your control panel settings.
Awesome first post, btw. Welcome to TFW.
Mine are always too big.
And that is what she said.
Quoting for a better chance of OP actually reading it and applying the knowledge gained to make his browsing experience on TFW more enjoyable.
Actually, there's a limit to how big they can be.
My sig has a mind of its own.
...mine is teh truth :c
Looks like 2 minds.
I like the signatures, and so do others, so I guess that's why we have such big ass signatures.
Its obviously because some people are over compensating for something
Bigger = Better
On the top of the boards you'll see a button that says "User CP", push that.
When you go into that, on the left side of the screen you see a button that says "Edit Options", push that.
Scroll down about 2/3 of the way and stop when you see "Thread Display Options", and right away you'll see, under "Visible Post Elements" you see 3 boxes if you uncheck the first one you'll never see signatures again. You can also get rid of avatars and images as well, if you so desire.
General members are allowed signatures on bigger than 500x300 and 40 kb in size. If you don't follow this rule Boardwise will remove it fast. He loves to kill oversized sigs. Supporters are allowed more. You can find more info about that here
I guess the reason why people have their sigs the size they do is that they like them.
I hope this helps you with some of the aspects concerning signatures. Finally: Welcome to the site and I hope you enjoy your stay here.
Whay this bored not has moar turtels?
we dont get too many ladies round these parts, so we need our sigs 'big'!
And seizure inducing avatars!
I think the point's been made. Thanks especially to SSJ for the detailed instruction.
