Not a part of my collecting. I could never track them all down, so why bother?

Actually, I kinda perfer the original version.

Some lucky draw items are nice to look at, but in the case of Magmatron, I'd be afraid to transform it for fear of scraping it.

Plus the fingerprints on it :p

My view is generally that I'm pretty glad the things are so consistently horrid, that I've no worry about the fact I'll never own one.

There's about two Lucky Draws in history that I'd have bought at retail, but if people really want the ugly bling stuff it's their money.

Some LD like GalvaLio Convoy and SL Megatron look cool

It's the "blinged out" ones that look tacky to me.

Using the pic that the thread starter used of Magmatron.

*Ugh* You can't even see the details in his face. The silver totally ruins it:redface2:

I think they're ugly and incredibly silly. Probably the one thing Takara does that's stupider than all the damn black repaints.

I love it. I spent quite a while drooling over the one in TF@TM's collection at Auto Assembly last weekend.

They're not anything that really interests me for myself...I wouldn't buy them at retail prices, let alone hundreds or thousands of dollars. But I do see the appeal of them for certain people, and I think it's pretty cool that Takara did them at all.

I'm not too into the chromed ones, but there's a few LDs I'd like to get. The chrome Energon Rodimus's of course, and the black/red E-Megatron. It's just a shame people try to sell them for so much. Hardly anyone will/can buy them at $1500.

Well, I think all the "bling-bling"-formers are rediculous. The silver and gold versions of the figures look horrid and tacky and take away from alot of the detail on the original sculpt. The only LD figure that I've ever wished was an actual retail item was the CR Black Fire Convoy... there have been maybe one or two more... like the red and black SL Galvatron, that I would have bought at retail, but I basically agree with Phazer's statements. The things are usually so damned ugly why would anyone want them? Also, even the ones that I would buy I get turned off by because of the scalping that goes on around those figures. Which is funny, because if you one the LD than you didn't actually pay shit for the toy now did you? :lol

Not to mention that if they produced limited runs of specialty items like this (500 or 1000), many collectors (myself included) would be delighted to pay $50-100 for them... kind of an "eHobby-ish" approach.

Nice to look at, but I could never justify the expense. It would be cheaper to coat myself in chrome.

The bling ones are..interesting..to look at, but I believe the only two that were ever actually, "Hey, I'd buy that." were Black Fire Convoy and Ice Magnus. The latter is the bext damn paint job that mold ever got. Shame it was some ridonculously limited edition.
I still don't own that mold as the only other passable paintjob is Energon, which is only slightly easier to find than the Lucky Draw.

Think some of them look neat, its cool that they exist, but I have zero interest in ever owning one, escpecially not for the amount it would likely cost me.

Fun to look at, but that's about it. I am not interested in getting one. Even GalvaLio doesn't look as good as plain black Lio, IMO.
