I started using this name in 2001 after I searched for days to find an available domain name. Tripredacus is (of course) a toy/character from Beast Wars and somehow the fictional personality has rubbed off on me. My old online name (still used in a couple places) was Bludgeon after the G1 comic character. My user title is from a long time ago when I found someone had defaced the Gobots Wikipedia page, replacing all instances of Gobots with K-Mart Transformers. I reported the story before I knew you could just log in and fix things, and it was quickly reverted. The term was actually used as (paraphrase) Gobots are the Transformers of K-Mart-ian Legend. You can still find this in the edit history of that page.
Originally my screenname was OptimusLeo, back when I first signed up I was doing all kinds of crazy Beastformers fanart and fanfiction. One idea I'd been toying with was for White Leo to channel the spirit of Optimus Prime, granting him "Prime Armor" and blue hair. Buuuut, somehow I lost the password and couldn't remember what it was. This was around the same time that Car Robots was airing in Japan and I thought Gigatron was really cool, so I took the OptimusLeo concept and tweaked the colors into an evil counterpart called GigaLeo. Been running with it ever since.

Gryph was the name of my very first character on Phantasy Star Online, the game that basically got me on the internet. I've pretty much been using it or a variation of it (Gryph, Gryphman, or El Grypho) forever.
I typed "Shadow" in the box then looked at my Cybertron Leobreaker toy and typed in "breaker" thus "Shadowbreaker".
