Everybody seems to have at least one if not several. And I know that as I acquire one, I always seem to set my sights higher on another. Right now I have about three, 1) Reflector 2) Predaking 3) Omega Supreme For me these are grails because the cost to get them, via evilBay or elsewhere is just way too high for my limited budget. What are some of yours? In addition how do you decide what's a grail in your mind versus simply a bot that you want but haven't gotten yet?
I'm doing well with my grails they were Fortmax Overlord Trypticon Scorponok (still not completed him though) Predaking Swoop I can't think of a current grail for me - it was a complete springer but just got him off of ebay... I'll stick with the - "Complete my loose bots" for now...G1 parts are so pricey Oh and TRU Issue Skids and Astrotrain to complete my TRU set...
Just a couple - KP Rodimus & the Takara 15th Anniversary Convoy. Not terribly obscure or exciting I know, but they're the ones I keep an eye out for. I see em every now and again in either sales lists or on the likes of eBay - but the prices are always just too high for me, as a man of limited means/other priorities! Still, I've learnt from many years cratedigging, you find all sorts of things for a price you like eventually...

the word gail is used to easy these days. Grails for me anyway is something that is extremly hard to come by and also cost alot. ( no pun inteded now) but Animated elite Guard toys (just an example) are mass relesed toys and I dont think it should count as a grail. Of course now I will get all the ppl saying "it can be a grail for me /them etc etc" going to jump me but I stand firm on this, the grail word is used alot for things I dont see as "grails" Onto the question from the first poster: MIB c9 Liokaiser MIB c9 Fortress Maximus Sealed or AFA graded G1 Combatacons to name a few
TF grail: I think I'm set, actually... G1 stuff isn't that great and I have most other things I'd like (I'm learning to be realistic) Non-TF Grail: MPB-01 and MPB-02 (Exkizer and Dragon Kizer)

Well, as I said in my original post (the one I accidentally deleted) the elite guard toys aren't out in mass retail yet, or even on ebay(although Jazz should be showing up soon). And as soon as they are at mass retail I'll probably already have them.

Not gonna be that rare but Animated Soundwave and the Dinobots Slag and Swoop, Grimlock's lonely. Also MP-02 and the Animated Ultra Magnus as well.
all animated toys *might get more then one of each* lol! parts i'm missing, to various g1 transformers *guns mostly* fortmax reissue *that will never happen* lol! and the japanese giftset, computron.
