I set a rule recently for myself to just buy FP stuff no matter if I like it or not. The way I look at it, for whatever reason some one will want the FP stuff later.

However, now I am not to sure. I don't really see the draw of causality and can not see why any one would really want to buy it down the line. It is obscure characters that most people don't even know who they are. Plus they don't combine. So now I am debating on why should I get these.

But then again I see DIA commander going for 2x the value and such. I wonder if I should even bother. Do you think I will just kick myself in like 6 months that these will double or triple in price?

By the way, call me a scalper I don't really care. If I could get Non-Devastator because I sold some one a figure at a price they want to pay, I am ok with that. That is why if I do a BST I usually say, make an offer.

Some board members and I emailed FP when that came out and they were totally cool about it. The site was in Chinese back then, we found what we thought was an email address and that was that. Told us we could have as many as we wanted for $60 shipped if memory serves. They were very polite and let us use Paypal. About 10 of us nabbed them for that price. We thought it was expensive!! LOL Now look at what they go for!!

If I really want it, I'll buy it. I'm passing on Flameblast and Warcry, as they don't really interest me.
I'm not buying their stuff to sell it on down the road.

What's my rule? Don't buy from them. They offer nothing I want.

the only things i have from them are city commander and protector. my rule is probably don't buy anymore for now. warbot defender is cool but maybe hasbro will eventually make a sleeker smoother version. bruticus and superion attachments are awesome but missed out on buying the bruticus maximus and superion. plus the more i look at bruticus his legs are too close together. everything else about it is cool.

Let my friend buy it first. Then have a "try before you buy" secession at his house. Either buy it or not.

Not sure how many people got it direct through the Fansproject people but I don't think Fansproject officially existed then. I believe a lot of people got it through TFClub and the price varied between $30-$90 depending on when you got on the train.

My mindset with FansProject isn't that much different than anything else - if I like it, I buy it. That said, since I realize their stuff jumps in price after preorders or existing stock sell out with online retailers, their stuff does generate a greater sense of urgency, so if I like it, I just make my preorder and refuse to cancel it under any circumstances.

With FansProject as the topic and the Warcry/Flameblast preorders up, in case anyone is still thinking about Explorer and Munitioner, you may want to strike quickly. BBTS is already under 100 left for each (Munitioner is approaching 50 left), and I don't know if you want to hope for a third restock down the road.
