-Safeguard is the only animated figure I felt was a waste of my money. Wouldn't have bought it if my daughter didn't want it. I just don't like the feel of the figures, and the combination, although clever, doesn't interest me at all. -Brick-tastic figures are essentially boring statues. That's why G1 figures do nothing for me personally, and I've traded most of them off to get 'good' figures with posability and fun-value (are those torches and pitchforks I smell?). -Armada Pants Prime and Starscream are horrible. Both are in my collection, but don't see light that often.
I actually never watched Animated. the characters designs turned me off. but a lot of people seem to like it, so maybe one day i'll give it a chance. but Bulkhead was one of the only character designs i really liked.
WTF. How can anyone possibly HATE that mold??? I don't get that Armada Sideswipe and Cybertron Lugnutz top my list. And so did Energon Superion until that bad-fuckin-ass upgrade kit came along. Now its one of my favorites.
What was that TF that transformed into a rock? That was a horrible toy and I cant believe I had it as a kid, I dont know what possessed me to ask my pops to buy it for me and Topspin was pretty freakin horrible too, he just folded in half and that was it.
Kinda like that McDonalds Armada Starscream. I used to be so proud of how many McDonalds TFs I had back in '03. Now I look down on them in shame.
I looked at the rocklords just now and I cant find the one I had, Im not sure if the one I had was a gobot, and looking at the pictures, I saw another that I know I had, so that means when I was a child I had two of those damn "ROCK BOTS", what was I thinking, how lame.
Mixmaster from Movie Supreme Devastator. THAT THING WILL NOT SHUT UP! If you even bump it the slighest it makes annoying noises, and on top of that, he doesn't even have a robot mode.
I love Leader Bulkhead. It was my first TF in a very long time and well worth the £20 I dropped for it.
Interesting, you just cited three of the more loved Transformers toys. Out of curiosity, care to cite why? For me, few toys incite rage like Titanium Megatron (The first one) can. Here is a toy that never appeared in any media... that's fine, I guess... but in both modes he looks like he was designed by someone who knows OF Transformers, but never has actually seen one in person. His extremely heavy die-cast limbs are held to his body by extremely tiny clips that also serve as swivels for the transformation, guaranteeing that it is IMPOSSIBLE to so much as move this toy without him exploding apart like one of those old Crash Test Dummies toys. He manages the impressive feat of both his alt mode and robot mode looking terrible, AND having all the joints that should allow good poseability, yet remaining a completely unposeable brick. He was everything that was wrong with the Titaniums line, boiled down and concentrated into a single toy. His sole redeeming feature is that if anyone ever asks what was wrong with the Titanium line, we can point at him and simply say 'Pretty much THAT'
Universe Heavy Load. Blasphemy! But you're forgetting the way Topspin and Twin Twist transform! They're fucking awesome! I really don't get the dissing of all these G1 figs. None of what's around today would be here if it weren't for those "bricks" as you call them. Show some respect. They were, and still are, top of the line when it comes to toy engineering.
My least favourite at the moment is the upcoming voyager Bludgeon. It is the only ROTF toy which really repulses me. I have a Bludgeon from the Master of Metallikato 2-pack with Whirl and that one's fine with me, so its nothing about the character. Rather, its the design of the upcoming one which turns me off.
