What's your fic's place within the Universal Stream?

    Hi.

As detailed at the TF wiki, the TransTech Cybertronians have a system for cataloguing the various timelines and continuity families - or 'universal streams' - they have encountered, though they seem to have quite a few more left to get around to!

So, if any of your fics have at least a provisional designation based on this list, what would it be?

EDIT: For my own part, Fate/Trans Form (which includes the Mosaic Avatar and other works of mine) has a provisional designation of Primax 307.23 Iota, while Worlds Distant would technically be in the same one as whichever designation Draven would have for Redemption, but as a written fic would be Primax 507.16 Iota.

Assuming I haven't messed those up, that is...

So, if your fic has a timeline, what is its designation?

Interesting. It'll be very helpful in my Transtech fanfic. If I'm using it correctly, the Maximals would be Primax 996.16. What about fresh continuities, like my Chronicles fanfic?

    Edit: Primax 996.16 Alpha

Intriguing. I like this concept a lot.
Transformers: Redemption Episode One was released on the net on November 1st 2003; so as a splinter timeline of Generation 2 (part of the Generation 1 family) its designation in the Universal Stream would be Primax 1103.01 Iota (or Primax 1103.01 Alpha if you count it as an animated series, which I suppose it technically is).

That would be hard for me, what would you consider a work that combines different elements of G1, Animated, and other media to fall under. I have seen this before, and tried to consider my future fic's designation.

If you are working on a wholly distinct continuity family, I suppose there's nothing stopping you from coining a new term to describe it...

    Agreed.

I had a debate over something like this at the IDW boards, and the opinion emerged that unless it's a piece of material officially released by either Hasbro or a licensed source, it would still count as Iota...

...unless you get Redemption made canon, of course!

Well, you could either list a couple of relevant terms with hyphens (Primax-Tyran, for example) or decide to set your fic in its own continuity family and cut a new term from whole cloth.

Well, in that case, I'm leaning towards Chronux 1107.22 Zeta. I don't know when I originally created the story so I used the date of the first post here. Ironically enough 1107 also happens to be the Publix store number I work at. Weird. I gotta figure out when I created that story. I don't want anything from that demon seed of a company on my stories. LOL!

Edit: Chronux 1205.30 Zeta. Glad I resolved that.

I might re-iterate that unless a text story has a Hasbro seal of Primus... er, approval, than it would generally be Iota, or so it seems.

The likes of the Ghosts of Yesterday novel or the I, Lowtech text story would be Zeta, for example.

Hmm. Not sure about mine, "Transformers Next Gen"... Technically, it's a reinvention of G1, but only some of the original characters are featured, and designs are mostly based on the Classics toyline. I guess G1 would be an okay place for it.

On a side note, if you're interested in checking it out, I'll add the link to my sig. :B

And how about those fics that mix continuities? I just finished one mainly based on G1 Marvel and Animated.

    Here it is: Nemesis night
Please tell me what code should it get (or it will remain like this)

Lesse if I got this down. since my fic splinters off from The Movie that sets it in G1 Continuity Family. So, Primax

509.21 is the designation, as I posted it Yesterday. May 2009, 21st

and ... while its written prose/text story which WOULD lead it to Zeta... nothing's printed onto actual paper so that means Iota

So... if I did this right, my "Fiction Tracker" entry thing would be...

    ----
    Long Fiction

    *Transformers: Another Universe

Universal Stream Designator: Primax 509.21 Iota

    Summary: [Text Here]

    Status: [Ditto]

Going by the TFWiki informations, my fan fic, Transformers 4: Unleashed would have to be in universal stream Tyran 110.17 Delta.

I guess mine are all Primax Alpha (with a bit of Gamma thrown in for fleshing out atmosphere and details when Alpha is too sketchy). Still trying to figure out the numbers.
