Ok, so continuing from the Armada thread, what's your favourite Energon figure(s) ?

Energon never really hit where I am, but I do have the 2 scouts Skyblast and Strongarm. I really like them, I have a love for Scouts. Plus I love Skyblast's Energon Spear.

The line wasn't the best, but it did have some cool toys, Landmine for example. And we got some new combiners.

So what are your favourites from this line, if any ? And also discuss any hidden features (if there are any of course :p )

overall i dislike the unicron trilogy toys but i do like a handful of the energon deluxes, they are simple, chunky and have a bit of a G1 look too: prowl, powerlinx hotshot, inferno. Prowl is my fave of those 3 though, its a rather strange looking bot but i really like the odd design, the face is very cool.

There are others that are ok but those 3 are easily my favourites, I find the compromise/optimise of 4 modes per toy to be quite well done although many people really dont like the combining gimmick, i find those 3 can make some good looking combined modes (as long as prowls legs arent extended all the way out when hes forming the bottom of a combined robot!)

Probably Dreadwing. I'd love for Hasbro (or FunPub?) to remold some normal arms onto Shockblast, though.

Scorponok for sure. It's a fantastic re-invention of the character (scorpion bulldozer, woohoo!), and isn't beset with any of the problems that plague other Energon figures. I'm still mystified that it hasn't been re-issued under the Universe line.

    All the Terrorcons
All of the "Combat Class"/Deluxes (save Rapid Run)

If I can pick only one, it would either be Superlink Galvatron or Galvatron G.

    Divebomb
    Shockblast
    Starscream

I'm not a fan of Energon at all, but Starscream and Shockblast are always my favourite. Actually I was just snapping some pics of Starscreams!

Not Galvatron, the big, minty Megatron.

Do you remember the controversy over the leaked pictures of Megatron? I had a lot of anticipation for that figure. It was before classics so it was one of the first tastes of G1 themes coming back into the current line.

    I do.

However that was around when I was getting out of Transformers until Cybertron, so I never really got into it. I picked Megatron as my favourite since I got him just before the first movie was released, and I still think he's one of the greatest Unicron trilogy figures.

I really only have a few Energon toys, as that line was starting to end just as I was slowly expanding my collecting habits beyond just alternators... I've picked up a couple more since then, and while a lot of them have weird articulation (I'm looking at you, Deluxe Autobots!), they're actually all a lot of fun to transform.

That said, my favorite is definitely the very first $30 Transformer I ever bought - Landquake. I can't even place my finger on what exactly I like about him, but there's a lot to like. And I like the colorscheme better than Landmine's. :)

Tow-line is also an excellent toy. I'd love to be able to get my hands on the Botcon repaints as Ironhide and Ratchet, but... well, those are apparently about as expensive as the Botcon seekers.

His Cybertron repaint is one of my favorite figures in my collection since he's the only to have all three gimmicks of A/E/C.

I sold almost all of them.
Of the few I didn't do away with, Superlink Galvatron is definately my favorite.
