A nice, non-controversial subject. What do you like to adorn your tootsies with? Boots? Flip-flops? Sneakers? If sneakers, what brand?

I heard a while ago that Converse, at least the old vintage style, were incredibly bad for your soles. No support or something. Had any foot issues with them?

    Whatever's cheap.

(Did the other topic get actually deleted? Not just locked?)

I don't have a preferred brand. I just buy what's cheap, kick the shit out of them, patch them up, kick the shit out of them some more, and then eventually buy another cheap pair. Usually I can get eight months minimum out of a pair. I'm not fashion-conscious or anything. Sticking with certain brands ain't my thing.

    I don't have feet.

Seriously though, I tend to jump around a lot, depending on whatever fits & looks the best, assuming of course that its within my budget. I actually couldn't tell you the brand names of the ones I wear on a regular basis, but I've definitely learned my lesson when it comes to cheapening out, as a shitty pair of shoes is a complete waste of money. I'm way better spending twice as much on a single pair that I can wear comfortably than 2 cheaper ones that I can't, and that simple exist in my closet collecting disappointment.

It seems to have been one big misunderstanding. I can't think of a better way for it to have gone out. :)

Back on topic, if it's not Adidas, it's not on my feet. Their clima-cools are incredible. Feet that don't sweat and smell by the end of the day, what a concept!

I've always liked the look itself (aside from the hat I pretty much border on that stuff as it is), but I've never been a fan of boots or high leg things in themselves that I've warn, so I'd probably need to opt for a low boot/shoe style if anything, especially if it had a rather low heel.

Adidas, but I also have a fondness for the black nylon classic Reeboks and white Cortez Nikes.

I love the ankle support of boots. I don't like low cut boots because my pant legs always seem to get caught on them and I'm always having to adjust.

Motorcyle boots are just plain awful. So clunky. Same goes for motorcycle jackets with built-in padding, but that's a whole other topic.

British Army Assault Boots....Why? Because Trainers and shoes have a really low life expectancy with me. That and I'm a heavy walker/trekker. Not to mention I'm surrounded by fields and mountainous hills.

@ Brave Convoy: Yeah, I get hot really easy, so even wearing a 2nd layer tends to be troublesome for me. Add that to the fact that its usually quite warm where I live, and I almost never wear a jacket unless I'm walking longer distances outside at night or something, and even then its like a light denim thing. Kinda sucks couse I have a bomber coat I really like, but I only wear it like 2 weeks a year at most now hah. Then when I'm working outside, the coat usually comes off within 10 minutes unless there's a blizzard or something, assuming I'm not sweating outa my ass the moment I go outside.

When I get around to taking a picture of my toys (the shots in my collection thread are hella old, maybe I'll remember to shoot some of my shoes & post em here.

Adidas used to take the clima-cool gimmick one step further by adding holes in the soles, but that would lead to soakers every time it rained and you stepped in a puddle. They've stopped doing that, but I find the shoe still breathes just as well. For now. :sly:

I love Army boots. All military-issued clothing for that matter. Build tough, built to last.
