And most recently 1st person shooters (I love COD WAW)
i guess its fighting games.
Beat em ups also, but FPS is a close second.
Proper beat-em-ups, mind, not this nonsense they peddle to us as beat-em-ups these days like DMC, God of War etc.
wow, hold up. dmc is ok!
but yeah, sor and final fight forever.
Like Streets of Rage and the such, as they're side scrollers.
So what do we consider to be the best ever beat em up? i'm going for Capcom vs SNK 2 on PS2
Yes! Real men have less than 10 moves and still kick ass!
Games where you kill people!!!!!
FPS. Do enjoy me some Indie and TPS though.
None in particular, i'll play almost anything as long as its good.
T, i want a HD remix of SoR3. with the correct colours for the outfits please?
Dude, don't think I that I'm not begging people for the chance.
Old school Lucas Arts games.
My favorite games fall in the console style RPG genre (more story and defined characters, less micromanagement). On the flip side though, a bad RPG is the worst kind of game.
Beat'em'ups, 16bit Jump'n'Runs, FPS, RPG, Adventures, Survival Horror
Got anything to recommend aside from Mario stuff, Chrono Trigger and Pokemans for folks that despise necessary grinding and unavoidable random battles?
What platform? For the 360 I'd recommend Mass Effect and Fallout 3. I haven't played any on the PS3 (but of course they had Fallout 3 to). FF12 was actually really good, and I don't think you ever had to grind unless you did the monster hunts. Despite what people say I still love Chrono Cross, which did avoid having to grind and random battles. Otherwise, most of the RPGs I really liked had random battles or required some level of grinding.
I'm specifically after console-only Japanese stuff. Age doesen't bother me and i'm good for any platform outside of PS2, PS3, PSP and 180.
I'm up on western RPGs and those are PC territory when I buy them.
