Ones that stand out in my mind include being the first person in the fandom to find Strika and Night Slash Cheetor during Beast Machines, and then Smokescreen and Sideways in Armada. They stand out as extra special memories today, since I'll very likely never have that feeling again without dropping a small fortune on 'five-finger-specials' lifted from the factory.

Walking into Walmart back in 95' and finding Obi-Wan, Princess Leia and Lando sitting on the pegs. If you collected Star Wars POTF2 figures back then you will understand the excitement I felt.

    I would have to say:

Walking into a Walmart last year (07, August I think) and finding the ONLY 25th Anny Optimus Prime!!! I went to 3 Walmarts that night, my Bro took me (my car was busted)... He thinks my collecting is kinda childish but after we finally found it I like "Man thanks for shooting me all over the city" and he's all "Man, I know it was important for you, and thats a badass OP Toy, its GIANT!!!"

Last June, right when Animated first started hitting Wal-Mart shelves, walking in casually into a small one close to where I live, and the entire first waves were there. I bought one of each figure, and promptly went home and cancelled my BBTS pre-orders.

Saved a good deal of money that day.

I hear ya! I found Cybertron WingSaber and the Grimlock/Swoop two-pack at the same time. I think they were cased together, and I never saw either one since!!

Also finding the "McQuarrie" concept Boba Fett, that was cool. I found an Alternators Grimlock, and like 3 Swerves, and passed on all! :banghead:

Anytime I have a wad of spare cash and I walk into a store and see a whole wave of new figures I've not got yet. I hate that 'having to choose between them because I can't afford them all in one go' thing. Or having money to burn and being in a TF-buying mood and seeing just a whole section of shelfwarmers I already have.

I remember when RID hit here way back when and almost everything came out in one go right on the day I got paid. Utter bliss. :)

Finding Voyager Bulkhead in a store. At the time, the Animated toyline wasn't released in my country (and wouldn't get to be for several more months!) while I was already watching the cartoon. It was a total surprise, he was the only Animated toy crammed somewhere between the movie toys. It's awesome!

One of my best experiences lately was during the classics 1.0. I wanted Starscream badly, and hunted everywhere for awhile for him. I walked into a target one day and there he was. That was an awesome feeling after weeks of looking.

I would have to say mine was getting an unpunched MOSC Seacon overbite shipped from England for roughly $35 US about 5 years ago. Just saw one today on ebay that sold for over $200.

And that was a beautiful story too.

Oddly a few times recently, when I went into a shop, I kept saying to myself "I want<insert robot name> to be in this shop" and they were, like Blackarachnia and Universe Galvatron for 2 examples
